@eecuadrado:  Haha see glucose test isn’t that bad after all 🙂 (well except if you are like me and eat cereal during your one hour wait lol) And if you have to retake it for the 3 hour, don’t panic, and the drink isn’t horrible at that point either.

And yay for every two weeks! That is where I am at right now too. My docs continue to keep me on that unless they foresee a problem. I have an appointment today, and then it 2 weeks I will see her one last time before I get transferred out to my delivering doctor. Crazy!!!

@eecuadrado:  I had to do things a little differently with my prenatal care. I work in a clinic 90 miles away from the hospital I’m delivering. The doctor that sees me now used to deliver babies. Rather than travel 90 miles for all my appointments over the course of my pregnancy, I opted to just have all my checkups, labs, and tests done right here with my family doctor. I went my actual delivering doctor at my 20 week appointment so I could at least meet him. He will see me the rest of my pregnancy starting the second week in March.

It came down to the fact that I didn’t want to take so much time off from work. That, and there is no guarantee your delivering doctor will actually deliver the baby. If I deliver M-F, he will, but if I deliver on the weekend it just depends on iuf he’s the on-call doctor.

But having my care with him throughout the whole pregnancy didn’t matter so much to me…he delivered me when I was born, and I figured if he could catch me when I came out, he can catch my baby, lol.

My glucose test was canceled because of the snow and ice down here in Georgia a week or two at and they still haven’t rescheduled it!

How far along are you (I think my office waits until 30 weeks to see you twice a month)

I had to do a gloucose test last summer even though I’m not pregnant.  The orange stuff is so gross lol.  I had to force it down.  My test was for my blood sugars.  After 2 hours my sugars were actually lower than before the orange stuff lol.

@eecuadrado:  Thanks 🙂 Its kind of bittersweet because as of January 1st he isn’t taking on any more patients, so our son will be one of the last babies he delivers. So, for that fact, I hope he can do our delivery.

@eecuadrado:  It was testing for hypoglyecmia which was the diagnosis.  It was one of many tests I had that day.

@eecuadrado:  Yay! Yeah the actual test isn’t bad, I just wasn’t a fan of feeling like I got hit by a bus after ward lol. I have hypoglycemia so it effects me in a very, very bad way as far as the glucose test goes.

You should be able to call and get your results that day, too! As a head’s up 🙂
