Does anyone have any experience with these? I bought a bottle yesterday and took two as directed last night- it made my pee neon yellow...

thats normal.  When your body takes in excess nutrients, it doesnt absorb them all and they excrete in your urine.  I take the Ultra Megas or the PreNatals from there (Ive also taken Trader Joes Prenatals) and they all make mine neon yellow or green =o)

Yup!  That's what they do.  Most multivitamins are crammed with B, so your body just gets rid of the rest, making your pee (and other secretions, sometimes) neon yellow.

I was taking the GNC women's vitamin (in the purple box, I don't remember which it was), but got tired of two horse pills a day and highlighter-pee.

Then I switched to solotron, and got annoyed with highlighter-pee.

Then I switched to Natrol's hair-skin-nails formula, which is alright, but it also does highlighter-pee, and I am getting tired of it, so I've stopped taking it for a while.

I have a bottle of HSN I got at walmart, but it's three horse-pills a day... but it doesn't turn my pee neon...  I'm waiting to run out of the Natrol first before I go back to it.

There seems to be a common theme with me and vitamins...

I would be cautious about taking those vitamins.  In my nutrition class back in undergrad my teacher told us to NEVER EVER take a pill that has more than 100% of daily value of any nutrient and that one has 1000% DV on some things.  Some of them do have side effects from over exposure too.

Hmm. I think it's harmless/not that harmful to take large amounts of some vitamins- for instance, Vitamin C is water-soluable, so it passes through your body in a few hours and you won't actually absorb excessive amounts of it. Your point is definitely a good one though, MissAsB, though I'm not sure how it relates to multivitamins or how one would know what an excessive multivitamin really is.

I wonder if we have any doctors/nutritional experts who can weigh in?
