Ah Paris! I stayed in the 7th Arrondisment (within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower) in the Rue Cler neighborhood. It has a great neigborhoody feeling. Is less typically touristy than the student area (in the 6th Arrondisment). I loved it! Paris pretty much shuts down on Sundays, but you can go to the Marais on Sundays. This is traditionally the Jewish neighborhood, but in more modern times it has also become the gay neighborhood. It has a great, young vibe. Whereever you go, definitely do some walking tours. They are a great way to learn more about the cities you are visiting! I am jealous for you! I would love to take a trip like yours. Sigh.

Helu fellow ladies,
I'm in need of your help!
Does anyone have any tips on going to:
-France (Paris and a village somewhere we haven't chosen yet....suggestions?)
-Czech Republic (Prague, and anywhere else you might recommend)?
-Any place you'd highly recommend in Eastern Europe?
We're from New Zealand so it'll be a trip of a lifetime for us, but neither has gone before and we're a bit daunted by all the information online...so here's hoping I can count on you guys, and let's face it, word of mouth is so much better than travel magazine reviews!
