I am thinking about buying a gocco on ebay and it says that I am responsible for the custom fees, has anyone bought one off ebay and had to pay a fee when it was shipped?

I bought one off ebay. It came from Japan to Australia. I had to pay about $70 for shipping but they didn't specify if any of it had to do with customs fees. Maybe ask the seller what the story is with customs fees, how much they usually run etc?
