Hi! I'm sure there are past posts regarding this, but I just got into the whole Gocco movement and now I'm interested in learning about raising the ink used from the Gocco printer. Anybody know of any good tutorials? Thanks in advance!
We are using the gocco/embossing powder technique for our invitations. I've never seen a tutorial, but it's pretty easy. We are using the "clear detail powder"; it makes a nice shiny raised font. The other cool thing about embossing is it makes the ink look a lot more vivid
Two big things to look out for would be; make sure you have enough powder on the ink and make sure you aren't melting it too much or too little. You can see it start to "bleed" when it gets too melted and when it needs to be melted more it looks grainy.
I say just experiment a little until you get the hang of it.
