I covered my screen with paper. So if you burned both images, just use the foam to keep the ink from running to the other side. Then when you're done using it, tape a piece of paper on the printing side of the screen (not the inky side). Then you can add foam and ink to the other side and print on that side. It works really well! (And I like to save screens too, LOL)
I clean mine, but I usually want to use them again. If you put a piece of paper over it so that the used side is re-printing continuously on the same sheet, it can ruin the screen. But if you don't need it again, either should work :)
I would seriously rather shoot myself in the face than clean a Gocco screen again. Sticky mess.
I would put 4-5 things on a screen. What I did was ink one design at a time, make all my prints for that design, then use clear packing tape to cover the non-ink printing side of the screen. Then ink your next design. You won't be able to reuse your screen, but never a drop made its way through.
I second chicago bride: cleaning a Gocco screen=HOT MESS!! I tried it, but the cardboard frame disintegrated (even though I had taped it up), and the ink wouldn't clean off, and when I finally did get it clean it didn't work well for the next color. UGH! I'd rather die than do that again!

Hi ladies,
I just had a quick question about using multiple designs on one screen. I'm trying to maximize the use of the screen, so I have a two designs on one screen, one on the top half, and one on the bottom half.
After I'm done with one design, do I just clean up the screen as much as possible and let the rest of the ink dry on the screen so I can use the other design?
Or should I just keep the screen in the fridge and cover up that section of the screen with some paper?
Or is either OK, assuming I don't need to re-use the first section of the screen?
Thank you so much for your help!
