I personally think that first dress isn’t constructed well.  The second dress is gorgeous!  I’m traditional, so I’d go with white or ivory over pink.  You can wear a pink dress any time.  But that’s me.

I like the white dress! But I know on my body, it would look like a maternity dress!

I’m not a fan of the first dress. There is something missing : fullness in the skirt, ornaments … it is pretty without being a wow factor. But I think the color is lovely. And looking at your nickname Pompadour and your avatar, I totally understand why the first dress probably feels more like ”you”.

The second dress, I am biased because I’m a huge fan of lace, so of course I’m in awe looking at it, and I like the shoulder caps, they are beautiful. But the dress falls on the ”19th century” side. The reason I say that, is I assume (just my instinct speaking) that you might want to go with something that relates more to 18th century French / Versailles / rococo style (bigger dresses and pale/pastel colors, exactly like the 1rst dress). I might be wrong, though. 🙂

Honestly it’s hard to compare the two, they are so different. Have you tried them on ?

Really don’t like the first one, something about it is bugging me. Maybe like a PP said it looks I’ll constructed? I love love love the second one though! Have you seen anything similar to it in blush?

I like the colour and idea of the first dress, but agree with a pp about the shape. I think there is a happy medium out there, have you tried any dreses on yet?

Is it only the color that makes you hesitate ?

I like dress #2 better of those two but voted to keep looking. It wouldn’t hurt to try more on 🙂

I have to be honest, I think the first dress looks poorly constructed and old-fashioned, pink or not. That waistline is just strange. The second dress is beautiful and traditional. I would keep looking, though, if you’re not married to it.

If you’re interested in something a little more contemporary, I recently tried on this white and pink petal gown from Theia and it was a definite contender.
