I see a lot of brides wear heels to the ceremony theb change into something more comfortable.
How do you manage this? Wont the dress be to long afterwards?
The entire reason I’m wearing heels is so I don’t trip on my dress.

gamerlover: i have always wondered about this too!!! especially when you see the height of some of the heels people wear!! the dress would end up being a good 4-5 inches too long!!!

gamerlover: I think it all depends on the style of the dress and the height of the heels. My friend at her wedding went from her bridal shoes with a 3 inch heel into some custom converse with sequins all over, super cute and she could dance and enjoy her night etc, the dress was a little longer but not to the point she was tripping over, and she had her train buttoned as many brides do when it comes to the reception, that that helped as well.

UKbee: That’s a good point. And I guess converse have that extra height compared to flats too!

I went from heals to platforms which I’m way better at all night.. Same height difference. I did go barefoot for some of my beach pics and it really didn’t bother me that much.

i wore the same heels all night. they weren’t too high and i was comfortable in them dancing all night.
i wouldn’t have been able to change to flats, i would have tripped on my dress.

Get the dress bustled with hooks or strings so that when your shoes come off it gives your dress a lift

gamerlover: I have three inch held and I’m going to sandals. It well be a little long, but not dramatically so. I’ll pick it up a little and enjoy my comfortable shoes!
