Oh, I'm going to follow this post because I was planning on posting the same thing today! I am only 32 days now and also have had negative tests. I wasn't sure if it was normal or not.... I guess it does take a bit of time to become regular again?
That's what I keep hearing, that it takes time. I just hate the not knowing. I've also been charting so I can track my fertility. It's just soooooooooooo annoying!!! I'm sure you can relate!
It took my body a few months to get into the swing of things when I decided to stop taking it. Medically, while you were taking it you had a fake period, one created by the hormones you ingested. So now that your body is awakening from the drug induced "coma" you've created, its trying to recoop to what its supposed to do naturally. Be prepared to skip them, spot, or have them be rather unusual until your body figures itself out. For me, it took about 4 or 5 months but every body is different.
Yup absolutely. J was convinced we would get pregnant the first month.. so now even though we have taken two negative tests he is starting to convince himself that I am pregnant. I want AF to hurry up and arrive so his hopes don't get up to high and we can start trying again for the next cycle.
I've been off BCP for a week and a half.
No period yet. No withdrawl symptoms either (mood swings, etc.).
I think it was about 6 weeks before I got my first period after going off BCP. Mood swings and acne started about 3-4 months in. Get ready for a fun ride! LOL!
I was lucky and it mine came back just 2 days late, but my sister went for close to 8 months without a period when she came off. I've always hear that if you were irregular before the pill, that you were much more likely to be irregular off of it.
Thanks for all the insights, ladies! It's much appreciated and nice to know I'm not abnormal.
I stopped taking the pill recently and I started my period two days after being off the pill which is weird because I had my period a week and a half before I stopped taking the pill. Strange.
I feel like my period is coming, but I'm wondering if it will be on time or stay on the same schedule of my period before I went of the pill or follow the schedule of my 2nd period of the month when I got off the pill. ugh...

Warning, this may be TMI.
So I've been off the pill for over a month and I'm now on day 38 of my cycle. Yes, that's right, 38. I keep feeling like my period is going to start, but it doesn't. I have the light cramping, the general feeling that it's upon me, but still nothing. Two pregnancy tests taken a week apart have come back negative. I imagine this is normal but if it doesn't start by day 40 I'm calling my doc.
I must know, how long did it take you to start after quitting the pill? And did you have regular periods before you were on the pill (I never did)?
