Can't believe Bailey Banks and Biddle is going out of business! I remember when we were first looking at rings, this store had a ring I loved soo much. We didn't get it b/c FI didn't care for it too much, and now they are going to be gone!

Anyone think they're future FI might be taking advantage of the awesome deals they will probably have?

(P.S., they are not paying me to write this, I just can't believe it!)

I liked that store too! I think Crebre posted about them going out of business and the sale they are having. I'm sure there are some good deals to be had.

I wish we were close to buying a ring (not for a few months) so we could take advantage! My parents went to an event there a few months ago and got earrings custom made for my mom!

I almost wish we hadn't purchased the ring yet, so we could take advantage. Maybe we'll get FIs ring there....

Word of caution about buying rings at a place that is going out of business... my hubs bought my e-ring at one, so he could take advantage of the deals. Well, it's a really hard ring to match up to a band, and being a guy, he wasn't thinking and didn't buy the band while there. I could never find a band that matched and finally got one that is close, but not really. Also, my ring has micro paves, and they have to be checked and replaced if they fall out. No store = no warranty or service. I have to pay to go somewhere else and have all of that done.

Still, he got a GREAT deal, so I'm not complaining - just something to think about! :)

Thanks for the tip Laylabelle! I was actually thinking about that b/c we purchased my ring and band from a small jeweler than has since gone out of business. We have insurance on it, thank goodness, but I wondered what the ramifications would be of getting a ring at a place that closes after the fact.

They were having a big sale about 2 months ago--a going out of business sale! My friend and I bumped into a college buddy, buying a ring for his FI on sale! Yay sales =]

When another stoer went out of business, I priced a 1.5 carat band for like $600 or something insanely low.
