I wasn’t sure where to post this – so bare with me 🙂
If you’re like me – you have to pee when you’re nervous. You have to pee when you see or hear water. You have to pee when ya just went pee.. so the idea of putting a huge gown on and trying not to pee is a nightmare that you want to ignore… Thankfully – I ran across this last night.. Enjoy! (Yes – I was doing pee research on a Friday night! Sad but true!)

I sat on the toilet like normal, just lifted up my dress. Maybe I’m weird though.

Bahahha! I love this!
I had often wondered this.

Make sure a couple of your bridesmaids are nurses who are used to helping people go to the bathroom, so they can hold up your gigantic dress for you. 😉

@Summy00: I’m glad you see the humor (and use) in this!! I posted it on my Facebook last night and I think people finally understand my sick sense of humor!
@MrsSaltWaterTaffy: Im not sure how big your dress was – but I just picked out a HUGE layered, long-train having gown… this was my immediate concern.
@red_rose: Whew!!!! I am actually in school for a medical field, and my MOH is a nurse!!! Yaaaaaay for wipers!!! Heeheee!!!
I had a friend offer to be on Potty Patrol – I LOVE IT!! 😉

Unless I’m about to explode and/or in pain from holding it, I plan to avoid the bathroom at all costs. With the amount of “super sucker inners” that I’ll be rocking on my wedding day, it will not be an easy feat to even prepare to go. I’ve held it for longer than 5 hours before, I can do it again.

I have the smallest bladder in the world. I go to the bathroom like every 2 hours normally, and get a horrible headache if I drink less water!
I’m sooo glad my dress is a sheath, and I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to manage on my own! 🙂

hahah when my girlfriend got married 2 years ago, she had her period… her dress was HUGE. needless to say, as her bridesmaids we were all there to help hold up her dress while she hoovered over the toilet to pee and change her fem products… eww sounds gross and brutal but LOL it worked out tho!

I saw down normally and had a girl on each side to help me lift my dress. I only had to go pee a few times though so it wasnt too bad.

I dont think i could have managed to go trying to face and straddle the toilet. Luckily I could bunch and lift the dress myself and just squat as usual.

Haha, funny thread 🙂 I just had my maid of honor help me into the bathroom and I remember barey fitting in the stall. I don’t think I had to use the restroom much after getting the dress on, one before the ceremony, once after and once during the reception? Which is strange for me! I was busy I suppose!

@Heidigm221: Being on my period on my wedding is just about my worst nightmare come true! Not even for wedding night relations but for the very reason you stated, lol!
@MrsGibby2Bee: Thank you so much, from one small bladder to another!

I was shocked that I honestly did not have to deal with this…I went to the restroom right before I got my Spanx and gown on, and didn’t have to go again until we were on the road to our wedding night destination. Granted, we had a shortish reception, but I think the Teacher Bladder of Steel worked to my advantage here (I’ve had to hold it for ridiculously long times since I can’t really leave second graders alone unless it’s really an emergency).

HAHAHAHA I know this image is now burned in my memory and I’ll use this method when I’d running to the bathroom every 10 minutes from the alcohol at the reception…. =D

I did worry about this a bit, but I ended up going I think only once. I went with my Mommy and had not trouble and my gown had a lot of poof.
