What is the etiquette surrounding this as a guest? Do I bring a gift?

You don't have to bring an engagement gift to the party.  Honestly, if you are in the wedding, you are going to be paying for at least 2 other gifts so I would save up some money.

Thanks I'm not in the wedding neither is my BF. Just wondering about whether to bring a gift or not!

Since you're not in the wedding, I think a gift would be nice, but I don't think it's expected - usually they haven't even registered at this point.

I don't think you have to bring a gift, but a card may be nice.

i've never been to an engagement party, other than my own! almost everyone brought gifts, other than my friends who i also think haven't been to an engagement party so they didn't know either. i would bring a gift. people were begging us to open gifts at the party.

I would bring a small gift &/or a card - you don't have to go too crazy or expensive, but I am sure a small gesture will be much appreciated!
