So back in September my Bm’s and I went shopping for their dresses. We went to the store that I had bought my dress at but they were horrible to us and so we left and went somewhere else. The new place was super nice and helpful and I felt good about ordering from them.
I called today to check to see when they think the dresses might be coming in and the lady can’t find my information! She said she can’t find any record of them ordering dresses but that she’s going to keep looking and call me back in a few minutes. I’m freaking out now! I don’t know how long it takes to make dresses but I think we’re cutting it close on time now, and my girls paid for their dresses and one of them doesn’t live here so it would be really hard to get her measured again.
Another thing that bugged me is that the store changed locations and phone numbers and nobody bothered to contact us. I called the old number and was not impressed to find out it wasn’t in service!
I’m praying they find it, but until then I’m going to be freaking out! 🙁

I think you have time. I’m ordering my dresses in a week or two and my wedding is before you and the lady said it woulnd’t be a problem getting them in, just talk to the store. Are you consiering going somewhere else? I would, seems like some sketchy business going on…

Do you have your receipts? Did you put a deposit down? I agree it sounds sketchy the way the store moved? Did the old one go out of business and a new one opened? I can see how they might lose track of an order in a move, but there should be a digital copy somewhere. Anyway, if you have the receipts, its on them to fix it. Your far away bridesmaid can get measured at a tailor or dress store in her area and send her measurements in. If the store has to pay rush fees (not you, the store), than thats on them. Don’t stress! It will all work out!

I hope she calls you back soon! and that you have all your receipts.
Remember you’re not paying the rush fee they will. I know it will all come together for you!

You should be ok on time. Of course it depends on the designers, but my BM dresses weren’t ordered until Feb or March because my people were slow about getting their measurements and putting down their deposit. My wedding was at the end of May and they still made it in time (I don’t think I even needed to rush it). My flower girl dresses were a whole ‘nother story and BARELY made it on time even though they were ordered in January, and then they weren’t even the right color. My wedding dress was finished faster than them! As long as you have receipts, or proof of your deposits (credit card statement, copy of check, etc.), you should be ok.
