I took it off for workouts.  I was too afraid it would slip off my finger (since it’s slightly big on me)!

I don’t usually take my ring off ever, even when I’m working out. I know I’m not supposed to workout with my ring on, but I don’t take it off and I’ve never had a problem with it. I always wear my jewelry all the time.

I lift so I don’t really wear my ring at the gym.  Funny thing is I once wore it because I was only going to do cardio and it was weird wearing it.  LOL, I was so paranoid about hurting my ring (pathetic, I know).

That being said, rings are designed to take some abuse.

I wore my ring to the gym while lifting weights. I always felt like I shouldnt, but like you I didnt want to take it off! I got some scratches on the underside of the band, but that was easily buffed out by the jeweler

I take it off at the gym…too scared. I actually take it off too often to do things. I ‘m just paranoid!

I wear mine always…except when I put lotion on after the shower…then it goes right back on =)  On our honeymoon cruise, however, I plan to bring a ‘fake’ I think, just because I am so scared of losing the set.  I’ve done fine with the e-ring on it’s own since Feb., but I saw some really good CZ stand-ins @ Nordstrom Rack…

i take it off.  my hands get puffy on runs, and i get clausterphobic at the thought of not being able to take it off if i need to (i know, a little neurotic).  but i know the feeling of just loving it so much that you never want to take it off!

Congrats on your engagement! I remember living off champagne and cake for a couple of weeks after we got engaged …

I do lift and do cardio when I go to the gym so I bought a pair of weight lifting gloves. They are padded where my ring is and I haven’t had a problem. I think the worst thing you could possibly do is take it off and leave it in your locker or car or something, you wouldn’t want to take the chance of it being stolen or lost. You are much better off keeping the ring on and risking a scratch than losing it. And if you are doing cardio you should be completely fine.

Like July said, you can have any scratches buffed out if it were to happen and anyways the scratched would be on the bottom side of your ring.

I only take it off when I go swimming.  It has never fallen off or anything like that.  The inside part of the band is a bit scratched, but I can always get it re-dipped if I want to (it’s 18K gold).  I figure it is safer to wear mine all the time rather than be taking it off for stuff and then losing it!  Make sure it’s insured though!

I used to leave it on all the time when I went to my NYC-based gym in a not-so-great neighborhood. I just didn’t feel comfortable taking it off in front of other people, and then leaving it in my locker, even with a lock. The gym I visit now is a lot nicer, though, so I take it off and put it in a special zippered compartment in my gym bag.

I never ever leave the house without my ring on! Even for workouts.

I wear mine everywhere, doing everything (um, even spray painting. Which I don’t suggest doing)!

I also get bloated during workouts, so it makes me feel clostrophobic so I don’t wear it. Mine also sits up real high so I wouldnt want it to get caught on something. i wear a sterling silver claddaugh ring instead.
