I think a red-hued colour would be nice. Either cherry red, or maybe coral or fushia depending on the green color.
You could use a navy or a pink to help the green pop! Even a classic white would be really nice.
Green, Gold, and white???
how about a deep purple? very complementary to the green :)
emerald green and gold sounds lovely!!
plum or deep purple, pink? I would shoot for either rich, deep royal colors like purple or red, or a pale accent. Maybe depending on what season your wedding is in. Just about any pastel could compliment it in the right shade...
Just be careful: with a "green, gold and red" color scheme, you might end up with a christmas-themed wedding as well :D
No red! Ho Ho Ho...Merry Christmas!
What about a lighter shade of green or a neutral like cream or tan? Navy would make it uber preppy and quite dark.. pink would give it a trendier look.
I second the deep purple--it's the color of royalty you know!
I third the deep purple - it would really complement the green and help the gold pop!
I think black might be nice...depending on your venue and the time of your ceremony. How classic!
Ok, Green Gold and White were my high school colors, don't do that! It wasn't good!
I think a fuschia color as well. How light is the green? If it is darker, I would avoid the dark purple. Dark purple & dark green don't photograph as easily & could look too dark.
Hi Guys,
So the hall has cream walls (its HUGE) with high high ceilings and lots of gold crown mouldings, so I'm not to concerned with it being to dark and I do want the feel to be very royal so I love love love the Emerald Green, Deep Purple and Gold combe =)
Thank you so much ladies!
I always think of gold as a neutral, (like black, white, brown, and grey), so I think you only have to worry about the green not clashin. I vote fuschia, a lighter teal color, (in the same family as your emerald green), or a coral.
Hey Ladies....just wanted to give you gals an update! My FH finally agreed last night that I can get the Emerald Green and Gold outfit =) It our tradition, that the groom side dresses me up for the receiption so the bill goes to my in laws wohoo ![]()
Thanks for all your help!
how is that weird at all? that is pretty normal for indian clothes.

Hey Ladies,
So last night I showed my fiance my optino for my evening outfit (indian lengha) and the colors were Gold and Emerald Green (kind sea green). Well he was shocked b/c he wasn't expecting such an unque combo (especially for indian clothes). So I was wondering if you all had an ideas of how I can tie these colors into my decor and what a nice accent color could be.
Maybe with the right advice, I can get him onboard =)
Thanks
