Any bees out there that have done gold jewelry with an ivory (very pale ivory) dress? I feel more inclined to wear silver because I know it will look good, but I am a gold girl through and through. I plan on wearing earrings and maybe a bracelet and/or a ring.
Plus my accent color in the theme of the wedding is gold…and i’m super OCD about matching!!
Any pictures would be helpful!!

@jgtexas22: My dress is champaigne/ivory, one of my colors is gold, and my jewelry will be gold, so I am a-okay with that!

@jgtexas22: I had an ivory dress and my jewelry was pearls with gold accents. I don’t see a problem! 🙂

My wedding colors are ivory/gold/champagne. I might be biased because of how immersed I’ve been in my color scheme but I feel like gold jewelry goes with ivory as silver jewlery goes with white.

My wedding colors are champagne/gold/ivory/blush.

I’m wearing a champagne/ivory gown, but the champagne is really very light. I am doing mostly gold jewelry. Unfortunately, my headpiece will be mostly silver, it’s hard to find pieces in gold that don’t look costumey! I’m actually normally a silver person, as a general rule, but I feel like there’s something so timeless and vintage about gold. Since we are going with a 20s/30s theme, my colors are ivory, gold, and bits of the purple of my bridesmaid dresses. My engagement ring is white gold, but our wedding rings will be gold because my fiance is getting his father’s wedding ring, and I will be using my mother’s wedding ring.
So long story short, go for the gold if you want to! 🙂

Huh. I always thought ivory was traditionally supposed to have gold accessories.
I’m wearing a dark champagne gown and my accessories are rose gold.

@jgtexas22: My dress is ‘light ivory’ (apparently that’s a thing), and I’ll be wearing yellow gold jewellery. I’m afraid I don’t really have any pictures, although in like the one picture I have of my dress I’m wearing the yellow-gold chain I’m considering for the day:
You can JUST see it, I guess?
But my engagement and wedding ring are also yellow gold, I’ll be wearing yellow gold earrings and a headpiece too.
So definitely go for it! I hope that helps?

@jgtexas22: Gold will defnitely look better thatn silver with an ivory dress!
My dress is ivory, and though I don’t have all of my accessories, these are the shoes I’ll be wearing:

@mindy_pindy: Your dress is gorgeous! My I ask who the designer is?
My dress is very light, exactly like the colors in the pictures above. I think I was having trouble seeing it because it had silver sequines and pearls accented around it, but I am having those removed. Once it is just pure ivory lace, maybe it will be easier to see.

@jgtexas22: I am doing an ivory dress with gold accessories as well! Wanted to play up my E-ring which is yellow gold so I’m planning on gold/pearl accents for earrings/necklace and then this belt I already purchased off Etsy.
Not sure how it will alll look put together since I don’t have my dress in yet but fingers crossed!
