SportsAuthority.com has good basic stuff.

For balls and gloves, go with the big brands-Titleist, Nike, TaylorMade, Ping, Calloway.

Tees-brand doesn’t matter, they’re all pretty run of the mill.

Other fun stuff you can get him as like golf themed stocking stuffers:

  • ball marker
  • divot repair tool
  • ball cleaner (glorified rag)
  • towel
  • umbrella
  • fun driver/wood head covers

We golfers love random ass gadgets to fill the pockets of our bag, you can’t really go wrong 🙂

@ValerieBee03:  I just bought my husband a ball marker, countless times I’ve watched him draw little smiley faces on his ball so he knows which is his when they play.. it was inexpensive and something that’ll come in handy.

@ValerieBee03:  I give my brother chocolate golf balls every year. We have a chocolate store in Houston that makes everything chocolate – chocolate cameras, chocoalte calculators, all kinds of random stuff – so I buy them there. It’s called The Chocolate Bar, not sure if you can order online.

This year I’m ordering my brother a golf-themed grilling kit:

Sorry, I know you’re looking for small golf equipment but I just figured I’d throw those ideas out there, in case you wanted to get him something a little different. My brother plays college golf and gets unlimited free balls, tees, etc. so I’ve had to think outside the box with gifts for him. One year I gave him a really cool black-and-white calendar of old famous golfers for his dorm, and he loved that – maybe if your SO works in a cubicle or an office you could buy him a golf calendar? They’re always pretty inexpensive. Or you could buy him golf towels with his college logo on them.

@ValerieBee03:  I bought my dad this magnet thing that clips to his hat. He wanted it and I’m not even sure what it is but I think you put it down where your ball landed if you have to move it out of the way for another player? He also liked the personalized tees my cousin bought him. The ball marker sounds good. I might get him one this year!

These are cute ball-marking tools:  http://www.tin-cup.com

http://www.golfsmith.com has great finds.

Dry-fit golf polo shirts are great.  As are tees, gloves, umbrellas, towels, headcovers.  Don’t get the cheapest golf balls – they are like swinging at rocks.

@ValerieBee03:  Titleist is definitely good and not rock-like and a very good choice!  Most golfers has a favorite brand, so it’s really hard to judge, but most people like Titleist.  The rock-like ones (in my opinion!) are Noodle, Wilson, and Lynx (off the top of my head), and some othes!

http://Www.tgw.com is my SO’s go to website (he’s a head golf pro), and they have super easy return/exchange policies. Golf items are/can be hard to buy because a ball is not a ball, and a glove is not a glove (from SO 🙂 ) so he suggested this website for you!! 🙂
