One of my really good friends had her bridal gown altered by Hemingway Tailors in Belmont, MA. http://www.hemmingwaytailor.com/
The dress had to be shortened and the bottom was all of this intricate lace, so the tailors had to take up the dress from the waist, and create a new bustle, etc. They did a beautiful job reconstructing the bridal gown from the middle, and they also did alterations for all of the bridesmaids' dresses.
Overall, I would definitely recommend them!

I went to Sabella Couture on the Common and they were fantastic! Her main business is doing custom dresses, so she really knows what she's doing. I only needed a hem and bustle but it was perfect. Plus they are super friendly
I'm looking for exactly the same thing! I'm wondering how much it would cost? David's Bridal is charging a very hefty fee!

Does anyone know a good alterations place for bridal gowns in Boston?? I am NOT impressed with the alterations people at David's Bridal and want to go to someone else but need to make sure I find someone that knows what he/she is doing! Any recommendations appreciated!
