I have a 0.34ct round brilliant (small by US standards I know but pretty standard in New Zealand!) solitaire which I do love, don’t get me wrong. The thing that is bothering me is it looks quite dull in some lights, and has what I can best describe as shadows when looking at it from different angles. From what I have investigated online I think this is related to the cut. Are there any ways to enhance a duller cut at all? I was thinking maybe having it re set in four prongs (currently set in six) and maybe raising the height of the setting to let more light in. Any ideas/comments would be appreciated!
Oh by the way, the specifications I have is it is E colour, I1 (a few small white feather incusions around the outside that I can barely see) and it is a good cut.
