I am looking for my venue, caterer, etc. I found a place that seems kike a good deal. What do you think? I should tell you that I m in the suburbs of Hartford, CT.
$39.95 per person
Venue which we can also use for our ceremony
Table linnens, etc
Chair covers with bow of choice
Butler served hor d’ouvers(crab rangoon, assorted mini quiche, stuffed mushrooms)
Chhese, fruit and veggies nd dip trays
Soup and salad
Baked stuffed chicken, prime rib or grilled salmon
Fresh grilled asparagus
Twice baked potato
Dessert(we might go with icecream with our wedding cake)
Thoughts? Seems like a good deal to me, but i have never planned a wedding before.

Unless the place doesn’t have running water, I’d say that’s a pretty amazing deal.

That seems just like the venue I booked (chair covers, linens, chicken/porkloin, champagne, dessert) but instead of hors de vours I have a full open bar for 4.5 hours so I think that seems like a pretty good deal!

@snowshoebride: That sounds great! I’d double check that there aren’t any extra fees (alcohol, cake cutting venue rental etc) that would send the price skyrocketing. It would be helpful to know your location.

There is an 18% gratuity. Thats it. The venue comes with the meal. Open bar woukd be more, so we are not dping that.
I am in the Hartford’ CT area.
Thanks, everyone for your responses.
