These guys were reccommended to me...don't be fooled by the name. They're incredibly well priced and have a lot of great testimonies from previous brides. They also will run your entire reception by announcing events such as cake cutting, first dance, bouquet toss, etc. All you have to do is tell them when! Good luck!
David Tarvin of Newman Productions. He's got a lot of expierience doing weddings, school dances and corporate events. He's cheaper then what you'll find around the metroplex because he isn't based out of Dallas but a bit further North. He will travel to parts of the Metroplex however. He has his own equiptment and a great attitude!

Bold entertainment is GREAT!!
I have used them for MANY MANY parties and love love LOOVE them!! If you have not already found a DJ then you need to call them. They are the best I have seen.
AND, just a bonus, every party I have used them at has been a BLAST and i got TONS of compliments from guests

We've hired a part-time DJ who will pretty much be our personal iPod. He'll play what we want, doesn't come with a big lights set-up, promises not to play cheesy games or songs, and will make announcements for us -- very basic stuff, but that's all we wanted. He's very reasonably priced (about what it would have cost us to rent a sound system for our iPod) and friendly. Let me know if you want his contact info.
O2Kool Entertainment (www.O2Koolentertainment.com) used to be DFW Entertainment. They have dozens of DJs from $600 to $2500 and you won't have to run all over town. I recommend them and my clients are always happy. Bobbie is the owner and tell her Wedding Diva sent you. They are in that new bridal store in Plano.
