What are some good, natural looking drug store false eyelashes? Nothing too over the top or costumey just a little something to add oomph. This is just for a company holiday party at a bar. I am feeling in a rut beauty-wise and have to meet my FI’s coworkers at their holiday party tomorrow night.

ardell- i love the invisibands demi wispies or invisibands babies. you should be able to find them at any sally beauty supply, or at most drugstores.

@yehyehgirl: I really like the Andrea 53 and Ardell 110.

Quo! I like them better than my Ardells.

Another vote for Ardell. they have so many different styles from over the top fakes, to very subtle ones.

@yehyehgirl: ardell demi-wispies! My FAVES!!

@chic_and_fabulous: ooh, I forgot about the Ardell 110s! I see them in more drugstores than the demi-wispies. I love them for a very natural look.

Another vote for Ardell. They’ve held up 3x as long as my lashed from MAC, and they were 1/6th the price. SMH.

I love the Ardell 105. They look kind of much in the pictures online but they aren’t that dramatic IRL. I’ve worn them to a wedding and people honestly just thought I had fabulous eyelashes.

I haven’t had a lot of experience with eyelashes, but my makeup artist for my wedding had recommended Quo.

Revlon is the only drugstore brand available for lashes where I live and I like it ok. I don’t have a ton of experience but usually buy full pairs and cut them up -2-3 mm per cut off section – and put 2 or 3 of these in the outer to middle part of my lash line, works well! I think if you cut them up like this quality probably doesn’t matter that much.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! The only set the store had out of all your faves was the Andrea 53, wish me luck!

I got the Ardell ones like @chic_and_fabulous: . however, even the shortest false lashes look super fake on me, so I trimmed mine down. if you do that, it works best to cut one hair at a time for the most natural look.

@nerdybird: I didn’t trim, I considered it but didn’t have a lot of time to spare. I’m pleased with the look/naturalness. I might start wearing them more often!

+1 For Ardell! And Duo Lash Adhesive is the best. I prefer clear over the dark tone, especially if you are still learning how to put them on.
ETA – for some people the individual lashes are easier to apply at first than the full strips, try both and see what works for you!
