it's like this weekend is chock full of good news! I posted last night about how I can move in with FI when my lease ends without my parents shunning me (they're paying for the wedding, and really, i just value what they think)

Then, today I officially booked the venue, caterer, set up 50% of the stuff with the day of coordinator AND booked a photographer who had an awesome price--and added in a second shooter!

And then I found out FI's cousin and my aunt want to throw me bridal showers! It's so nice of them to offer!

Get any good news today bees? I want to hear about it, I'm pretty sure I'm just floating on a cloud right now!

YAY for great things!! From reading your post, you sound very happy!!

The good news for me today is that I am breathing and so happy with everything going on in my life. Now, not everything is hunky-dorey (spelling?) BUT I am thankful for all of it.

Oh and I finally went shopping for our future baby girl today, I have been waiting so long to do it :)

FI's parents have recently informed us that they want to pay for our honeymoon! FI is from Costa Rica and his parents live there--they can't really afford to send us off to Europe, but they are able to provide us a fabulous honeymoon in their home country, which, luckily, is a huge wedding/honeymoon destination! I guess maybe it's a little more exciting for me, since I still see CR as a beautiful tropical paradise (as opposed to the rather poor country where I grew up), but still... it's awesome!! Also, FI's aunt works in tourism in CR, so she's going to set us up with all the most posh hotels and tours and stuff and pass along her discount to FI's parents. Yay!

Thanks Labor!! We are very much excited. My hubs calls our baby girl a protoype for his family since they don't really know what to do with a girl, lol... Thank God my family does. BUT I can tell you now, that she is going to be one spoiled little girl.

Pregnancy is actually going much better than I thought. I am sure you have read so many horror stories on here but I have been blessed not to have to go through many of those problems. The only one I face now is back pain but it's from sitting to long. I'll take that over many other problems for sure as long as the baby is healthy. Hopefully I can ease the pain a bit.

Ooh, can you use a heating pad? That always helps my aching muscles! Good luck and I'm glad it's been smooth sailing!

I think I can but it has to be at the lowest setting. Heat is not necessarily a great thing for the baby. I do however take full advantage of my hubby's thumb massages. I think I will getting one tonight when he comes home :)

Yippie!  That all sounds very exciting!  I have no news, my weekend has been insanely boring.  BUT, I'm dissecting a human leg/foot in lab on Monday so, um, I guess that's interesting!  To anyone whose relative recently donated their body to science, my apologies.  ;)  But wedding and new leases and babies and honeymoons are wayyy more exciting!

hey great that your having some good news!!

I had a disaster start to the weekend, FH found a piccy of my dress and said he didnt like it. However saturday I tried the dress on in front of him and he loved it! but talk about stress for a whole day! I even went to the bridal store and tried on more dresses! I also went to a 21st last night and had a great time. Today tho is DIY day! I started a new project :)

Labor: who is your photographer? Does he have a website? Id love to have a look!

Vmarie: What do you exactly do that gets you to cut up a human foot?

She does but I don't have it right now! It's kind of weird, I'm actually the first wedding she's shot, but I don't really care--she has shot tons of action/in the moment shots and her second shooter has done weddings before too, so I'm not worried!

And Charis i'm glad you found another dress... what do you plan to do with the first one? What's your DIY? If you don't want to say... post it on your blog so I can go look at it!!!

Im actually keeping the dress I already have. Fh said the pics didnt do justice to it. I had my hair out n stuff and makeup on so he got a bit more of a picture of how it would be. And i told him what a I wanted to do with the alterations and I have changed plans with advice from WB with what to do with my dress alteration. i.e move the flowers n stuff on the dress. Also i will add straps to it.

I took my dress in on the sat as well as trying on new dresses just to see if there was anything! and the alterations lady was super excited to get started on my dress, so I feel alot better. I was very emotionally fragile on friday and absolutely devastated.

My new DIY project involves LOTS of buttons  a glue gun (I posted awhile back that I got given buttons and I had no idea what to do with them?) and a rather large tennis ball! How does that sound.?.. wierd! Ill post on my blog soon and also on WB. Im kinda half way through and very stoked to unveil it soon. Its kinda coming to plan. Just taking awhile!

no worries. FH commented that it looked like a 2 year old had done that project and I said at least it was better than a 1 year old attempt! It did wonders for my DIY enthusiasm :P

I havent seen piccies of your venue.. have you posted that yet and I missed it?

The good news for me is that my family came down for a visit and I found a potential venue! It's an old victorian house and kinda offbeat like my fiance and me! Laughing

    Awesome LMNT!!!

On the subject of ninja turtles: My sister is a tutor for an 8 year old. She asked him about the ninja turtles the other day. He had no idea what she was talking about, and she felt old for the first time in her life (she's 20). Lol he then told her he thought she was 26!

GORGEOUS venue LofL!  Love, love, love!

Charis, didn't know that FI saw your dress!  Yikes!  But it's got to be a relief that you KNOW he loves it!  I keep thinking FI will hate my dress.  Although it goes against silly tradition, I'm jealous you have the security of knowing he likes! And, I taught preschool after undergrad and realized I seriously dislike children in that capacity.  So this year I found myself in grad school and doing all sorts of interesting things!

Oh my gosh, that venue is so gorgeous, LaborOfLove!  Congratulations on all the wonderful news!  What a relief that your parents are being flexible on the moving in issue.

My good news is that we're officially a step closer to my (British) husband getting his visa for our move to the US-- we've been in the filing process since mid-November, and finally got our case number on Friday, to file the remaining parts of the application.  Woo hoo!  So we're right on track for moving back to the US by May, at the latest.

Have a wonderful Sunday!  We woke up this morning to a tiny little inch of snow covering everything, so the world looks pretty magical today here.

I... have not talked to anyone today, nor have I recieved any kind of news so... c'est la vie, I guess. Neutral is good! I have to go to work later, so that's not my most favorite thing but oh well.

Booked my caterer AND got wind of news that some of my mom's crazy sisters won't be able to make it (too much family on my guestlist...hoping they all can't come cuz I don't want 200+ people!!). Good day for wedding planning!

EXCEPT when I got publicly scolded in my lecture today for posting on weddingbee (it was minimized by the ppt slides...) haha! guess I'll have to be more sneaky...
