I like Junior Senior, Lady Gaga, Santigold, Sean Paul, Black eyed peas... anything that makes me wanna shake my booty.
Along those same lines, Mates of State is always fun at the gym.
I usually only run to rock but I have a few hip-hop staples (mostly old because I never listen to the radio!)
The Boogie That Be - BEP
Boys - Britney Spears
Dirty - Christina Aguilera
Good Girls Gone Bad - Cobra Starship
Empire State of Mind - Jay Z and Alicia
For My People/Pass The Dutch - Missy
No Panties/Pull Over - Trina
You Can Do It - Ice Cube
Bombs Over Baghdad - Outkast
I Know You Want Me - Pitbull
Fire - Busta Rhymes and Joe Budden (it's like 5 minutes long so really kills some time!)
I download the (free) Podrunner podcasts. They're basically DJ mixes that either stay at the same beats-per-minute for the entire (usually hour-long) song, or interval mixes that intermittently vary the bpm. I'm incapable of listening to music without running in-time to it, so this helps me maintain a steady pace.
If I'm doing tredmill/cardio workouts I need techno or fast moving music...benny benassi, louie devitro, britney spears etc. If I am doing weights then i need something a bit harder but still has something to keep me going...usually GNR, Dropkick Murphys, Linkin Park songs.
I second the Muse! Queens of the Stone Age is also awesome for working out....
Thanks girls you rock, keep em comin!
@hotchildinthecity, I have a lot of those songs too, looks like we have the same taste :)
@amariem, yeah I need to download some old school madonna!

Hey all, I feel so blah today! I somehow still got my butt to the gym but had such a "blah" workout. I felt like I was just trodding along on the treadmill like a zombie, and I realized I am bored with 90 percent of the music in my I-pod. I need a gym-music revival! What are some great songs to work out to? What makes you feel like you could keep going , and going, and going....
Here are some of the songs I'm not sick of (yet.)
-Sweet Dreams, Beyonce
-Love Games, Lady Gaga (I used to NOT like her at all, I'm just now getting on the bandwagon...)
-Thriller, Michael Jackson (never gets old...except the laughing at the end is scary!)
-Supermassive Black Hole, Muse
-After Tonight, Justin Nozuka
-And surprisingly enough, anything by the cast of Glee. Seriously! Don't knock it til you've tried it!
So let's share! I like pretty much all kinds of music.
