I love the idea but I'm not sold on the bag.
What about a tote or something similar? You could still fill it with the lotion and other swim essentials, but the bag would be more versatile.
I'm getting all the girls a tote for their BM gift, so I don't want to give out 2 totes.
If you're getting them totes already for the BM gifts, then that's still two bags even if it's not a "tote"... I'd go in a different direction for the shower hostess gifts and put the beach idea into the totes... also, if your BM's are the ones throwing the shower, it might be better to put the money towards that gift and make it even nicer... maybe just a small piece of jewelry or flowers as a thank you gesture.
I was going to suggest jewelry or something for the wedding since they are your bridesmaids too. I didn't know you were already giving them a tote so yea two totes wouldn't make snese, but Lauren is right. This would still be two bags.
Ok! I'll just do a little something with lotion & a candle or something perhaps! Actually, this post gave me a good idea too to give them! Thanks!
I did this for my bridesmaids! I got my girls a beach bag, beach towel, flip-flops, sunscreen, body spray, and then found a nice, individual gift for each of them - an iPod for one, sunglasses for another, and a couple of books for the other.
It seems like a lot, but I did this (along with buying their jewelry and paying for lodging) as their BM gift since my wedding is on the beach. :) I made them each a gift bag of B&BW stuff for their shower gift.

I saw these cute swim gear bags on Pottery Barn's website, and was thinking they could be cute for part of the shower hostess gifts? They're all in their mid to upper 20's, and are either going to Cali this summer, camping, or other places. One is preggo though & not sure if she'll swim much this year. I got a trial bottle of lotion from B&BW, and was thinking of something else with that & this bag...maybe a towel? Umbrella? Not sure. What do you think?
