I think that is a very sweet gesture! Especially with the hand written note. I am getting my girls mongramed lunch bags and filling them with homemade cookies and their favorite alcohol as well as taking them to get their hair and nails done 🙂

I dont really like it.. Is it a jewelry box? What if your BMs already have one.. or it doesn’t fit their style.. it will prob just get tossed.

@MrsNeutrino: I agree.  I would have no use for it.  I got a little glass box from a bride once and it pretty much stayed in the box it came in until I gave it away one day.

However, you know your BM’s better.  If you think they’d like this, then go for it!  Everything else you mentioned sounds great.

I’ve been a Bridesmaid or Best Man in two weddings in the last 6 months and received a jewelry box for each of them.  The first one I am using on my dresser but the 2nd one is still in the box and isn’t as nice as the first one.  I think I would try to think of something a little more unique that they might not already have.  I’m still trying to figure out what I am going to do for my BM’s.

I have to agree with PPs.  My SIL gave me a little ivory box similar to this one and it just went on a shelf.  I didn’t even remember getting it until my sister reminded me.  But again, you will know your BMs better.  The necklace and note alone might be a better idea on their own vs you paying for something they won’t really use.

I got all of mine koozies to give them for the bachelorette party, taking them all to see Bridesmaids the movie, and the bigger present is personalized beach bags with zippers, so they can use them for any travel plus beach days, overnight trips, gym etc.

I have to agree- this box is beautiful, but it would sit on a shelf.  The handwritten note and jewelry is a wonderful idea.  If you want a little more than that, maybe a picture frame with an etched message on it? It would be something they could enjoy everyday, and there will be plently of wedding pics to choose from.

@vabride2011: Would you mind telling me where you got the bags/have a picture of them? I’m trying to figure out what to get my girls as well and that sounds like a nice and useful gift!

Is it meant to be a jewelry box if so they all sit on the shelf thats what they do.. I think its cute!! You can put their jewelry in the box etc. Love the note its great to personalize things like that.
