@MrsYoshida:  When we tallked about the wedding date we made sure to pick one I wouldn’t be on my period for that or the honeymoon Which were doing right after. It would definitely suck for it to start because I’m not one to do anything when it’s that time of the month. It would be totally awful if we were actually TTC on our honeymoon, but were not. We’re gonna wait until after my brothers wedding which I’m standing in, May 2015. I don’t wanna be pregnant for that.

I was a virgin when I got married at the age of 24

I was on BC for at least 5+ years prior to that …. therefore I thought I had it planned out

I was on day 3 of my period when we got married

We had sex that night anyway … duh! 5 years of waiting is more than enough to let a little grossness stop you

I take BC pills but still get a period each month. My period is very predictable and alwasy comes on a thursday. JUST so happens that it will land on our special day. I am typically pretty heavy and it would just be horrible to have AF while wearing a white beautiful dress :///

I am going to talk to my doctor but i am hoping she will just let me skip my sugar pills the month before (june) and for July to avoid AF on that weekend and following week for our honeymoon!

I didn’t really think about it, but fortunately it looks like I will be in the clear as well. High five!

I was on target to be on my period my wedding day. To top it off I had THE WORST COLD I’ve had in years for ALL THE DAYS OF THE WEDDING FESTIVITIES. I swore that if my period started and I bled through my dress I would just drive my car into the lake. Fortunately, my period was a week late the month prior, so was in the clear. Phew. No one likes a suicidal bride.

I am on birth control so my periods are pretty predictable.  Whenever I buy a new planner for the year, I mark when I am suppose to get it for the whole year. My period is suppose to come the week of my wedding. Which means if it stops on time, itll be done the day before. If it doesn’t itll last til the day after. I didn’t want that.  So this past October I skipped my sugar pills (I’ve been on the pill simce 2007 and this was the first time I did this). I am glad it did it in advance because my period didnt come on on Tuesday like it normally does. Instead it came that Thursday and I spotted for the next 3.5 weeks. Not what I was expecting lol. The periods since have been normal and I am scheduled to finish my period the week before my wedding. Hopefully it works, lol.

I’m on the pill that covers three months at a time, then a week of sugar pills – so only 4 aunt flow visits a year. Thankfully, the wedding falls smack in the middle of the three month schedule, so there is absolutely no chance of all the unwelcome body drama!

@MrsYoshida:  Not to burst your balloon, but my first wedding date calculated 2 weeks after my period (by coincidence)…guess who started the night before?  The stress of wedding planning and working overtime to pay for everything got to me, I guess.  It sucked because I was all bloated and crampy in my dress.  If I had given it any thought I would have been on bc pills because I had no periods at all when I was on them.

I looked at the calendar in the fall to see when mine will arrive based on my birth control cycle.  Fortunately, AF is expected to arrive the week after we come back from Jamaica!!
