ask for a detailed price list, they were really good about working with my budget (same as yours!)
www.theweddingphotographer.com -- John Kornachuck is our photgrapher, his packages start around $1200. He is really good at working with you. You can see the engagement photos he took of us at www.christinaanddaryl.com
We used EnLuce Photography for our wedding last month. She was willing to work with our budget which is the same as yours.
Here's a link to some of our photos:
My photog is Brian Khang http://briankhang.com. His prices are reaosnable (we're paying a little over $3k, but we're getting an engagement session w/ disc of hi-res images, 11 hours of wedding dya photography, 2nd shooter, 25-page/50-side leather craftsman album, online proofing gllaery for 1 year, disc of hi-reg images [approx 1,000 total]). His style of wedding photojournalism really appealed to us... plus, he's [B}ecker's newest protege, so that doesn't hurt!
We also liked Travis Hoehne (who did some of Mrs. Penguins epics) http://travishoehne.com.
Nataly Lemus is good, too. Jonilyn Photography 2nd shoots with Sarah K Chen pretty often. Serena Grace is another good choice.
Good luck!
I'm using Sandra Salisbury Photography. And because we're getting married in her off month- she gave us a 15% discount, so we came in under $2,000! We're getting our engagement photos done at the end of this month so I'll be posting them next month. Hope this helps!
hi, my photographer has great prices check her out.

You should check out my friend Caroline Tran: http://www.carolinetran.net/. I wanted to use her, but she was booked on my day. I believe she actually knows Sarah Chen b/c she recommended her to me.
My photographer was the first thing I booked! She's a former attorney, and was really witty and smart (plus tons of fun) and was only $1800 for the whole day.

We're having a DW in HI but we used Bryan B. Chan of Premier Photographs for our e-pics and I did a TTD session with him as well. He was so incredible and sooo reasonable in price! Let's just say it was less than 1/2 what my MOH paid, and we got twice as many photos!
Totally worked within my budget and went above and beyond for us! You can see our e-pics here:
Ingrid at I Studio Photography is well within your budget. She's great. She just did Taboo's wedding from Black Eyed Peas in Pasadena.
She's a great person! I think her packages start at $1,800. Book quick cuz i'im sure after the Taboo wedding, she can easily up her prices!
I used Alexandra Hoffman Photography, she was really personable and fun to work with. For 6 hours we paid 1600$ and that included the dvd of all of the images and a bunch of prints like 40 small ones for an book and a couple larger one. Her wedding stuff inst on her site, you have to ask her to see i but its www.alexandrahoffman.com
I just looked at the pictures of my friend's wedding and they are transcendental! OMIGOD incredible, like he captured the soul of every single guest, moment--I was literally blown away. I watched him working at the wedding and I didnt think anything of it--he looked like a normal human-but the photos are incredible. He had an assistant (non-photo) and I think she paid around $2,000, I couldnt find his website but his name is RJG PHOTO 310 202-0150. She said his travel fee was like $30.
Note: Dana from EnLucePhotography cut her rate for us because our wedding was on a Friday.
The ISPWP website will give you a good selection of experienced California wedding photographers, many within your price range. Atrero Photography and Frazier Photography both serve southern California and are both excellent. Good luck!

Sorry, there are no users yet.
Does anyone know of or has used a great photographer in the LA/OC area for under $3000? Acutally my budget is more like $2,500.
I love Sarah Chen's work but she is taken on my date!
