My photog is Brian Khang http://briankhang.com. His prices are reaosnable (we're paying a little over $3k, but we're getting an engagement session w/ disc of hi-res images, 11 hours of wedding dya photography, 2nd shooter, 25-page/50-side leather craftsman album, online proofing gllaery for 1 year, disc of hi-reg images [approx 1,000 total]). His style of wedding photojournalism really appealed to us... plus, he's [B}ecker's newest protege, so that doesn't hurt!
I'm using Sandra Salisbury Photography. And because we're getting married in her off month- she gave us a 15% discount, so we came in under $2,000! We're getting our engagement photos done at the end of this month so I'll be posting them next month. Hope this helps!
You should check out my friend Caroline Tran: http://www.carolinetran.net/. I wanted to use her, but she was booked on my day. I believe she actually knows Sarah Chen b/c she recommended her to me.
My photographer was the first thing I booked! She's a former attorney, and was really witty and smart (plus tons of fun) and was only $1800 for the whole day.
Hi there, I work for http://www.blissweddingstudio.com and the photographer, Will Taylor, is phenom! Check out his site, he has a $2500 package that many people book, or he can custom-tailor his services for your budget and needs.
We're having a DW in HI but we used Bryan B. Chan of Premier Photographs for our e-pics and I did a TTD session with him as well. He was so incredible and sooo reasonable in price! Let's just say it was less than 1/2 what my MOH paid, and we got twice as many photos!
Totally worked within my budget and went above and beyond for us! You can see our e-pics here:
I used Alexandra Hoffman Photography, she was really personable and fun to work with. For 6 hours we paid 1600$ and that included the dvd of all of the images and a bunch of prints like 40 small ones for an book and a couple larger one. Her wedding stuff inst on her site, you have to ask her to see i but its www.alexandrahoffman.com
Does anyone know of or has used a great photographer in the LA/OC area for under $3000? Acutally my budget is more like $2,500.
I love Sarah Chen's work but she is taken on my date!

We also liked Travis Hoehne (who did some of Mrs. Penguins epics) http://travishoehne.com.
Nataly Lemus is good, too. Jonilyn Photography 2nd shoots with Sarah K Chen pretty often. Serena Grace is another good choice.
Good luck!
