Do you have any good sites that are geared towards newlyweds that aren’t looking to get pregnant?
I feel like most of the married/newlywed sites are all about getting pregnant. DH and I aren’t looking to have kids for a couple years. I’ve enjoyed keeping up with the wedding stuff on weddingbee and lurking the baby boards, but I’d like another site or blog(s) that’s just about married life. I’d love some tips on some other sites (besides The Nest). THANKS!

Hmmm, that’s tough! I’m curious too. The only thing I can think of is a site geared toward one of your interests or hobbies?

Yeah this is a tough one. I was going to suggest HelloBee, but even I’ve had a hard time getting into Hellobee for kind of the same reason – so much parenting/baby talk! Hrmph. I’ll keep an eye out though!

I have no clue either. I guess I just hang out here.

I’d be interested, too. Or maybe we should start one!

DH keeps laughing at me because I’m still lurking on here. Mainly I’ve been looking at the Nesting boards, specifically TTC. I like reading other people’s stories about the random stuff no one tells you about when you’re TTC or pregnant. However, it’s making me come down with a little case of baby fever.
@littlemisst08: SERIOUSLY! I feel like I’m in some sort of limbo period or something.

I like The Nest for articles, and sometimes the forums can be entertaining. But I still check in here more often than there.
I agree with PPs, looking for blogs that gear more toward your own hobbies and interests might be easier to find. I’ve been surfing mostly cooking blogs with a few home-imporvement blogs thrown in, as me and the mister hope to build a house soon.

@mrsmbeegee: limbo period! That’s exactly how I described it to DH !
Cos we don’t go out and party every weekend (ok, hardly at all anymore), spent so much time at home – and yet aren’t ready to have children. It just feels like we’re at a station waiting for a train that isn’t coming…

@Mrs. Airplane: Yeah, I guess part of the problem is that I’m in school to get my MBA right now so I’ve let a lot of my hobbies fall to the wayside. I feel guilty when I have free time and I’m not studying….however not sure why I feel ok with being on weddingbee instead. LOL
I graduate in April and can’t wait to have my nights and weekends back to do fun stuff, rather than study.
@amyinbrisbane: We’re the exact same way! DH also works evenings, especially on weekends so when we do go out it’s usually in the middle of the week. We did go out last weekend at 11PM and stayed out until 2AM. We both couldn’t remember the last time we did that! A couple of my friends with kids wanted to join but couldn’t get a babysitter. I told DH “THIS is exaclty why we’re not having kids yet!” Unfortunately, these nights are few and far between since most of our friends have kids now.
Maybe it’s time to start a board on here…
