have you checked Hobby Lobby?
Also, I plan on ordering most of my cardstock from Paper and More. They have a few different sizes of black cardstock in packs of 100 sheets for under $20 (for 8.5x11) and in sheets of 50 for larger sizes and I believe their shipping prices are between $3-$4.
I have had great customer service with Paper and More. Their shipping is always $3.99 if you order more then $15!
paper-source is great... and you can almost always find coupons & codes! And the paper is fabulous! So much choice! Good luck!
Try LCIpaper.com. I bought a bunch of my invitation and program stuff there and found everything to be reasonably priced. I got prescored black cardstock program covers there ... can't remember offhand what I paid but I don't think it was too bad.
You might also try Michaels and Staples or Office Depot. I know all three have packs of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock, though not sure if the last two have it in colors other than white.
I am getting all of my card stock and other wedding paper from Cardsandpockets.com.
I love their stuff- fabulous!
Paper-source, or a local art store. Art stores >>>>>> Craft stores, price wise.
P.S. Is it a bad thing that my initial 'brain' answer was "Your mom." ? I'm such a dork.
Hello,
I just came across this post and thought I'd help out. You might want to try this online source: www.Glodan.com
http://www.paperpurchase.com/Glodan2/paper.cfm?menu=mill&grade_id=18
For black stocks, you might want to try the following:
Carnival, Vellum, in New Black (comes in 80lb to 100lb cover depending upon your project. It's a nice smooth stock)
Neenah Classic Crest, Epic Black (nice smooth stock that comes in different weights).
Both also are available in duplexes, meaning they have black on one side and white on the other. They are thicker, but add another dimension. Pricing out the Carnival stock for 75 QTY, you're looking at .35$ per sheet, but the quality is usually better than what you would see through a hobby store or scrapbooking store. You can also get matching envelopes from this source as well depending upon the stock you select.
I've used this source in the past when we've been unable to order smaller (non carton) allotments from our paper merchant. They've been great to work with.
Have fun,
Heather

Another vote for Cards and Pockets. I just ordered RSVP cards and envelopes on Sunday night and they have already shipped! Great customer service and price!
With a 50% off coupon for Michaels, you can get a package (50-sheets) of black cardstock for about $3.00.
I ordered my invite cardstock from www.cutcardstock.com and it came quickly and is exactly what I needed. Here is a list of all their black 8.5x11 sheet stock
I got cardstock from OFFICE MAX (in their copy section)! You can try going to a local store so you don't have to pay shipping at those other places, it might save you more money!
I love paper & more-I've used them a few times & have had good luck with them *knock on wood*. They ship fast too, even if you do the lowest shipping.
Miss Broadway + WDWBride!
However can I thank you?!
I have been searching hi+lo for the past 2 weeks .. trying to find cardstock + envelopes in a dark grey. Every imaginable combination of paper/envelope/price and nothing was working out! [Nice paper color at good price, didn't have matching envelope. Paper and matching envelope, way too expensive. Different vendor for paper and envelope, one vendor able to provide sample, the other not. The scenarios go on and on!] And then ...
I found cardsandpockets.com and nearly fainted.
Smoke Grey, unbelievable price for paper and matching envelopes. PLUS, a storewide sale for 25% off?! I JUST placed an order 5 minutes ago and am absolutely ecstatic! I should've checked weddingbee to begin with. Lesson learned and many thanks!
My vote goes to paper and more. I've only ordered samples so far, but their selection, prices, and service are all impeccable!
paperpresentation.com also has alot of paper, cardtock and envelopes. I've never worked with them, but a graphic designer buddy of mine swears by them.
I highly recommend paper and more. Shipping was prompt and sometimes they upgrade without additional cost and has the best quality to price ratio.
Try envelopemall.com. I have ordered samples from them and their prices seem reasonable.

I'm looking for some plain black cardstock for our programs, but haven't quite got the best balance of low price and reasonable shipping rates for 75 letter size sheets. :) (I've checked some of the craft stores near me and for some reason they didn't have any plain black cardstock... who knew?)
Anyone have a great source they want to share? :)
