Weddingbee boards

Well, we've decided to elope, but I wanted to share with the hive the wonderful vendors we're not using for our wedding, but will be using for parties in the future.

 Our chosen caterer was Carrie Dove Catering

I corresponded with Adam Dove, Carrie Dove's husband, by email and hammered out menu options, pricing, rentals, etc. He was always prompt with the email, considerate of budget, and inventive. We were going to have a sit down, plated meal for 50 people with three courses following a cocktail hour of three passed hors d'oeuvres, then having passed warm chocolate chip cookies with cold milk shots during the dancing hour all for about $5,600. (Buffets are cheaper)

The food at our tasting was really, really good! We had the Baked Sea Bass with Pistachio Crust and Meyer Lemon Dill Sauce and a Balsamic Marinated New York Strip Steak with Cherry Tomatoes and Roasted Summer Squash as our entrée options.  

Carrie Dove lets you bring your own alcohol and they'll serve it at no cost other than the server! They also were going to set up our ceremony chairs and decorations in addition to all of the reception decorations. Again, this was at no extra cost. They do a walk-through of your venue and make a floor plan of exactly where you want all the tables to go and the D.J. stand, etc. No detail was left out. 

 Now the kicker, and why I'm so grateful to them and why they're going to cater our one year anniversary party next year: they returned our deposit. I wrote Adam to tell him that we'd be eloping and he congratulated us and said that it just didn't feel right to keep our deposit, even if we were going to use them for catering next year. I am so grateful for this because we have a lot of sudden wedding expenses for the elopement (rings, flowers, etc.) that we were budgeting for next year. 

 I highly recommend Carrie and Adam of Carrie Dove Catering! They're such sweet people as well as polished professionals!
