I think the pocket watch is a great idea, or maybe you can wrap small locket around your bouquet and show it to him as a surprise?

The pocket watch would be a great idea- you can open the case and slip a pic inside.

You could also have their pics printed on a handkerchief for him to carry in his pocket ( not one to use) with a poem.

Dear Grandparents

I Wish You Were Here

I remember many things
from the time that I was small,
of all my favorite memories
I love these most of all;

Holidays and birthdays,
happy times our family shared,
always seemed so special
each time that you were there.

I loved your special visits
and cards sent in the mail,
in keeping family ties close
you would never fail.

Another special day
is soon upon us now,
my wedding day is coming
and I will take my vows.

I wish that you could be here,
you’re missed more than you could know,
please know I hold you in my heart
and that I love you so.

Grandparents, I love you.

I love the idea of the pocket watch as he could carry it all day and it would give him a great way to start the day with their memory. So sorry they can’t be there to see him marry the love of his life! 🙁
