After 8 weeks on weight watchers (I know it wasn't that long) I reached my goal weight of 132 pounds. It really has been a life changing experience for me...I feel so much lighter, and more awake, and just plain healthier. Wednesday I ran 6.5 miles for the first time since high school!
My leader thinks I should apply to be a leader, and I think I might. I really feel great, and I've been able to say I'm proud of what I've accomplished for the first time in a long time. And I think this might be the first time ever I feel comfortable in my own skin.
Before and after pictures coming soon...
Congrats!! I know from the weekly posts that you have been working hard - it must be amazing to have reached your goal! I hope to join you sometime soon in goal-land, but I think it might be a while yet!! Enjoy :)
Congrats on all your hard work! You must look amazing! Great job :)
I JUST FOUND OUT I NOW AM SUPPOSED TO EAT 35 POINTS A DAY! I was having trouble eating the full 29 a day before!!! And I'm supposed to eat ALL my weeklies and ALL my activity points...THATS A LOT OF FOOD!
congratulations!!! that is absolutely incredible!! you should be so proud of yourself :) 6.5 miles?!?! I would die. lol. I think you should apply to be a leader! You are an inspiration to others!
@Ms.Teddy: Awww, thanks so much, that means a lot to me!
Thank you so much everybody, the Bee has been a huge source of motivation and support during my weight loss journey.
@MandaMack: you dont have to eat all your weekly and activity points.... just the daily points that you need to maintain your weight.... if you use online tools it will have a place where it says points "to lose" or "to maintain" :) i get 39 daily points and it is hard to eat that many so i know how that is lol
That's awesome! I know you have worked so hard for it- I always am so impressed when I read your posts. Sometimes I think, if MandaMack can do this for an hour, I can do 30 minutes. I bet you'd be a great leader!
Yay!! Congratulations!!! I am SO inspired by your dedication and discipline!
Thank you all again. Fi thinks its funny that I'm so touched by all your support, but it really does help! Pictures coming later today!
Ok, so here are my before pictures. These were taken on October 26th, at that point I weighed 147.2 pounds:

My journey went as follows:
10/23 - 147.2
10/30 - 142.8
11/6 - 139.2
11/13 - 139.6 (that was the week fi's grandfather died, I don't know how I didn't gain more then that!)
11/20 - 136.2
11/27 - 135
12/4 - 132.2 (so close, but not quite there, this is when I got my 10% though!)
12/11 - 132 exactly!
And (drum roll please) here are my after pictures:

And I couldn't help myself:

wow you look amazing!!! congrats on meeting your goal!
@stephanie63087: thanks! I was just looking at the before and afters side by side and it makes me feel really good about myself, lol. 15.2 pounds may not sound like that much, but it looks like quite a bit, even on my 5'8 frame!
@lezlers: Thank you! I never thought my body could look like this! The only downside is if I thought I had no butt before, I REALLY have no butt now! Hahahaha
@MandaMack: I just saw this! You look stunning!! Congrats on reaching your goal, girly!
wow - you look great! congrats! I'll never be that thin, but I won't give up!
Amazing!!!! You have such a nice stomach... not that it wasn't nice before but it's really defined!! Did you do specific ab exercises or was it just part of losing the total amount of weight? I want my stomach to look like that! I always seem to gain weight in my tummy and arms!
@cherrycoke: I exercised a lot, but I had pretty strong abs before joining weight watchers, they just had a layer of fat over them! Now that the layer of fat is gone, you can see them! lol. In the Jillian Michael's DVD "No More Trouble Zones" theres a killer ab circuit that I like to do though!
@MandaMack: just curious, but which center/leader do you go to?
@la boome: NEVER SAY NEVER! I started a "motivational" thread this morning and this is one of my favorite quotes:
No matter who you are, no matter what you do,
you absolutely, positively do have the power to change.
-Bill Phillips
@Jazziberry: Thank you very much!!! It's just hard now to keep up the motivation to continue to workout! I'm doing fine maintaining my diet, but it was a lot easier to get myself to exercise when I knew I'd be weighing in later that week and wanted to have big losses.
Beautiful! I lost a similar amount with weight watchers and there's definitely a difference between the high 140s and the low 130s for sure. You look amazing! (You also looked great before btw)
@MandaMack: I'm going to have to try that DVD... I do have the Ab Ripper X from P90X and that kicked my @$$ every time so I should do that again. I always work out at the gym here at work so by the time I get home, I just want to shower & relax .... I will have to get motivated to do the Ab Ripper X at home! :)
@la boome: I go in Greentree, Donna (Saturday Mornings) is my leader and I love her. She's amazing. And I love that in the same shopping plaza there's a Marshall's so when I would do well I would go and treat myself to shopping, hahahahaha. Hopefully soon I'll be a leader there too
I'm meeting with the manager next week for an interview!
@cherrycoke: Also, I think a huge contributor to melting away the fat on my tummy was cutting out as much refined carbs as possible - so switching from white to whole wheat whenever I had the option. Word on the street is that refined carbs make fat accumulate in the belly region.
I go to that one on wednesday nights w Tara. She's great, but I do kind of hate WI at night. I'd def come to your meeting if you were a leader! I used to WI on Saturday mornings, but I'd find myself really restricting on Friday nights so I wouldn't "throw off" my WI and that isn't always possible to do, so I started skipping and yadda yadda yadda.
@MandaMack: That's true! I always eat whole wheat bread now w/ my sandwiches.. and even whole wheat spaghetti. However, sometimes I'll have a sub sandwich w/ white bread, pizza, or ravioli :( Not all the time but I def need to eat healthier :)
@R.Elliott: Thank you so much! It's amazing what a difference 15 pounds can make!
And it's awesome because I woke up at 5:30 am on Sunday to hit the mall for after Christmas sales and I shopped with reckless abandon (with my Christmas money) and now I actually have clothes that fit me again! hahaha And now I range in a size 0 to a size 4 depending on where/what style of the pants! Mostly size 2 though! It was a great feeling!
I've also been drinking a ton of water at work lately. It's annoying having to pee every 30 min but worth it! I even drink more at home.. at least 2 bottles before going to bed. Whoop!
@la boome: I don't eat before my weigh in so I figure that makes up for if I was bad the night before, hahaha. So I do whatever I want (within plan) on Friday night, wake up Saturday morning and do yoga, and then I make my coffee in a to-go cup and pack my breakfast parfait like I do for work and go and weigh in. Then after I weigh in, I drink my coffee and eat my parfait during the meeting. Hahahahahah. Some people may consider that cheating, but I don't care! In my mind, the food in your belly shouldn't contribute to your weight, so I'm better off doing "fasting weigh-ins"
