Opinions like this one on divorce made me sad and sick. I, along with many/most bees here probably, see marriage as something totally sacred.
Wow, I think the guy who said that really cheapened their marriage. Yes, it ended in divorce, but the marriage is about the couple, not some "psychic" competition.
It is sad to see this, but, as always, a reminder that making time for each other is so important. I always image that it must be so hard to be in a relationship where one person is gone all the time. I hope they both find happiness.
why do some people find it necessary to act like this when someone famous gets a divorce?

It's kinda disheartening to see the split. But what bothers me are the comments made in the last two paragraph of this article, supposedly by an expert on political marriages.
I'm confused. I don't even know that there is a competition between the Clintons and the Gores to see whose marraige is more like the baby boomers' and that divorce is so iconic of that generation?! It almost makes divorce sound just like another run in the park or even a necessary rite of passage. It's kinda abhorrent to see that he holds that kind of view.
