    Hi everyone

I gt my dress while I was visiting the UK over Easter. It was made by a family friend and incorporates my favourite bits from each of the dresses I tried on.

The dress already has a diamante and pearl sash but I'm trying to decide whether to add a flower... please let me know what you think looks best (the flower would be ivory to match the dress, I just used the yellow one in the photo to get an idea of how it would look). I will be having an ivory flower in my hair but not sure what style yet. No veil. My wedding will be on the beach.

    Thanks everyone for your input!

I like the flower.  It kind of adds something a little different.  (Of course, I have a 3-d fabric flower that came on my dress, so I may be a little biased!)

It is a beautiful gown either way...but I love the flower!! So pretty and feminine.

I voted for the plain sash I dont particularly care for that flower... I think it would be better suited in your hair

I agree with Melissa. I was gonna say put the flower in your hair and leave the plain sash. I think the flower looks a little out of place

I like it with the flower.  I agree it is pretty and feminine.  However, if you'r going to have a flower in your hair, I think a 2nd flower at your waist may be too much.

I prefer the plain sash.  Somehow the flower just isn't speaking to me.  I think it's because the simplicity of your dress is what makes it beautiful, the flower overpowers it just a bit!

I love the flower, but it doesn't go with the actual sash.  It seems like you should have some sort of ribbon material instead.

I say no flower.  Might be a nice touch on the back of the dress though.  I love the dress.  I can just make out the pleating and pattern on the bust.  I can't wait to see better photos.

i don't think the color of flower with the sash works. but i really DO love the sash on its own. I second the idea of putting the flower in your hair instead!! :D

thanks everyone. The actual flower would be ivory (same fabric as the dress - I just used a yellow one I had lying around to get an idea of what it would look like.

@cincity75: my dressmaker also suggested putting it on the back. But I LOVE the back how it is, it has lots of small satin buttons all the way down it so I wanted to avoid detracting from that! I'll try and post a pic of the back later.
