My best friend from high school can't make our wedding because she is also getting married this year and wouldn't have enough vacation (they live on the west coast, we live in the south so it would be quite a trip). It is a bummer when you get those unexpected no's! Fortunately they were balanced out by some friends I thought would not be able to make it but in the end can! Keep your chin up, maybe you'll get a good surprise in the mail today =)
There were TONS of no's I was bummed about. A few of my cousins, a bunch of out of town friends...
But then there were people that just didn't respond - those end up to be "no's" but then they make you angry that you have to track them down to get a "no" to your wedding... grrrr
i'm bummed that a lot of my college friends can't make it, including the friend who designed our invites. it would have been nice to see her again after 6 years. it's so hard though, because a lot of people are getting married this year as well and not anywhere local to us and plane tickets are so expensive!
i am excited though that one of my long lost college friends has decided to come to the wedding! it'll be my second time seeing her this year after not seeing her for 5 years! crazy.
I'm super bummed about my cousin who is currently stationed in Afghanistan. He put in for leave for September and got it, but for the end of September so he'll miss the wedding by like a week or two :( I am happy tho that even tho he won't be back for the wedding we'll still be seeing him soon
OMG same thing happened to me! My college friend told me she was coming and then I got the RSVP back just no, and no explanation! I was bummed but all the yeses kept me excited!
My best friend from when I was growing up - her parents. They live in California but they were like my second parents. They are taking their youngest to college that day! I am so sad!!! But they made up for it by buying a Dyson vacuum off our registry that we never thought we would get!!
I have not send out invitations yet, but my brother sat me down last week while he was in town and told me he will probably not be able to make it to our wedding next year. He is in the Army and they have told him that his unit will be transfering that month so there will be no leave there is also a slim possibility that he will be overseas (God forbid, it would be his fourth tour). I cried for days, as we are very close and I can't imagine him not being there. But it is what it is, not his fault, but devistating never the less.
I have not gotten any unexpected no's yet but I know that if I do I will be super bummed!
One of my college friends from Texas had told me she was coming but ended up sending a No response back. I feel like if she hadn't initially told me she was coming, I wouldn't have been as bummed about it. Anyway I'm trying to stay positive and focus on all the other guests who are coming!
I'm sorry you're bummed :(
We haven't gotten any no's yet, but I'm dreading the first one.
So far we have gotten one 'no' rsvp -- but I knew that one was coming beforehand. One of my friends is getting married 2 weeks before we do and they'll be on their honeymoon still! She was suber bumped that she's missing out on our wedding, and so am I. But well there'll be 2 lovely wedding albums to be viewed soon after hopefully, and we can share stories!:-)
We are having a rather small and intimate wedding and knew beforehand that most all would be able to attend, but I am still waiting for the first 'no' that's gonne be a surprise and disappointment.. keeping my fingers crossed there won't be many.
Oh no- I just got my first "no's" for the bridal shower that completely bummed me out! I can't imagine how it'll be for the wedding!
Me too, my college roommate was my first no that I was kind of hurt about when I got the response!!

Sorry, there are no users yet.
obviously we've gotten a few no's already; most of whom we've already guessed were nos.
But my freshman year college dorm roommate L & her husband were in my maybe category. Got her RSVP yesterday with a really nice card that was a NO.
I was really bummed!
I completely understand because she's in LA so it's a long way for them to come. But I was still really sad. :(
Who was the first no you were really bummed about?
