stigrl:  I always peel my gell off too…lol the struggle is real. I think your ring looks very white! My diamond reflects my shirts sometimes too, especially green shirts! The finger coverage is fabulous!

So pretty! I love the halo with the plain shank.

I had the same worry as you. I bought a 7.5mm round moissy in the tulip solitaire setting and could never get used to how big it was, but then again it was high set as well. In retrospect a 1-1.25 would have been perfect.

stigrl: This is my dream ring (I think…lol).  I have been torn between oval and OEC moissy forever.  I absolutely LOVE the halo with plain shank, but I love the look of OEC in an antique setting.  UGH!

I have chosen several oval and OEC designs for the SO to choose from.  But seeing your IRL picture of this ring makes me swoon and feel torn again…lol!  Ultimately it is up to him to choose what he thinks represents “us” and he knows I want OEC or oval.

Thanks for posting pictures, and if you have more…please share!

stigrl: i know you purchased this ring a long time ago I have been looking at the same ring as you withe the exception of getting the stones around the shank as well, like the link you posted. I was wondering if you could answer a few questions from me to help me make the decision:

was for ring just the standard order to the link you shred above or did you have any custom changes done?

is yours 14k or 18k? Not sure whether it’s worth getting the 18k

You have the forever brilliant version of this ring is there a reason you went with that one? Customer service at moissaniteco emailed me back today saying that i wanted a more colourless stone that looked more like a diamond I was better off going for forever one? Yours looks pretty clear to me.

you mentioend that you wish you had got the smaller stone but I do love the bigger look, do you think that any bigger than yours would just look ridiculous and fake?? your stone looks good to me but I was thinking of going a bit bigger but not sure anymore.

sorry for so many questions and I hope you are still on this site to answer for me.

thanks

Hannah

hmmills84:  I know I’m not this person but actaully just got a ring from Moissyco, a wed109 (http://www.moissaniteco.com/round-forever-one-moissanite-antique-style-wedding-set-p-20801.html)

As for metal, you pay more for 18k but since there is more gold, it’s actually softer and more prone to scraching. Most people go with 14k for typical wedding sets. I did a lot of research on this when I purchased as I thought since it’s more expensive it’s probably better… it’s just more gold! 🙂

She bought this two years ago, and the Forever One just came out October 2015 so it wasn’t an option when she ordered! I got a Forever One and LOVE it. Pictures are below.

As for size… Mine is a 4.75 ring size, with a 2 ct/8mm stone. HUGE… doesn’t feel that way in real life. In real life, I LOVE it and it’s a perfect size. I think it depends on what you prefer! Maybe stash a ruler in your purse and go to Walmart and try on their CZ rings, measure them… see what the size you want looks like in real life! Also, if you’re thinking about custom, you can’t return it at that point. Maybe, order the stone separateley then once you’re sure, mail it back and get the ring made!

Beautiful!  I love the plain shank too, it really allows the center stone to take center stage and the halo frames it just beautifully 😁
