Your ring is pretty, but I’m curious, I  see a lot of these posts and I just have to ask, how many of you spend time in “shady” areas?? Diamonds are one of the hardest substances on earth, I never take mine off and I do some major stuff with my hands and not a scratch on it. Scratches on the gold can be  buffed out when I have it dipped every 6 months. Why do so many  women think they will damage their diamond through every day use or a little “rough work”? Are they mining steel with their bare hands? That silver and CZ will break down in a heart beat, even swimming will turn it black.  As for travel, I never take mine off and I wouldnt be traveling in a shady area in a different country either.

@Rrabbetsgirl:   Huh.  I have a pair of silver and CZ earrings I’ve had for years and they still look as good as my diamond/white gold pair.  Also, I have a ton of sterling silver and gemstone jewelry that looks wonderful after many years and I wear it all the time.  CZ is almost as hard on the MOH’s scale as diamonds and moissanite are.  CZ is much harder than almost any other gemstone, so what you’re saying isn’t making sense to me.

@Sunfire:  Most of my silver, specially rings which get more wear and tear, will start to discolour, and when I swim in a chlorinated pool it tarnishes and turns black.

@Rrabbetsgirl:  Couldn’t agree more!  Mine never comes of my finger, diy, gardening, cleaning, work.  Always stays on.  The gold has become reasonably scratched and ‘worm’ but nout wrong with the diamond.  I have an 18ct yellow gold and white gold mix with a 0.5ct diamond.  And as for ‘shady’ areas, that had my job written all over it.  As long as you are smart and don’t flash it about you’re fine!!!
