I don't know the show but I say go and interview! You can always turn it down later if you feel uncomfortable but I think it's a once in a lifetime chance too!

I think it would be refreshing to see a couple that actually get along like in most cases and aren't just fighting and at each others necks all the time. So if you and your FI are all for it then I so do it!

I think it would be fun. I would only do it if I was comfortable enough with the fact that producers might edit everything to make you look crazy.

I would hope that most people realize the "reality" they see on TV is not actually "reality," so if they do make you out to be a beyatch, I would just laugh it off. I had a friend who was on Judge Judy and they were totally egged on to act ridiculous. It made them look silly, but everyone (them included) thought it was hilarious.

Id at least audition!  From the episodes I have seem of the show, its NOT Bridezillas - its usually the couple working together on their budget with a planner (though I have seen some fights between the couple but nothing big).  Ive never really seen anything worse than "I want it, I have to have it!" kind of thing.

I say do it!!  When I first moved to NYC I was cast in an epsiode of Blind Date and had a BLAST!!!  It's something you'll always have to look back on and commemorate your wedding planning stage.  PLUS - they usually pay you!!  I was paid over $500 AND got to explore Manhattan on someone else's dime.  I think you'll totally regret it if you don't at least go for the casting call!

Congrats! I would just say to be careful. They will edit to make it look anyway they want it to look. But it does sound like a funn opportunity, I would just be scared of how they would portray me because you have no control over that.

if you want to do it- go for it! like others said, i would just be yourself, and i'd be careful. to be honest, i enjoy watching the show because the bride and groom are ALWAYS fighting over the budget, and you always wonder if they're going to last... yes i know that's mean of me. but they obviously look for people who are going to argue, and that's not something i would want to be doing right before my wedding.

I would personally never go on a reality show, because editing can really change how it looks. That is just my two cents.

I think it would be fun so you should do it!! Remember though that everyone will know how much you spent on your wedding so if you feel comfortable with that then go ahead!!!

:D it looks like most people say go for it!!

the other thing i'm worried about is not "experiencing" my day or having to act a way I wouldn't normally.. I want to experience all the emotions that my wedding day would bring without worrying.. u know what i mean?

Rich Bride, Poor Bride is my absolute all-time favorite bridal show! It's sooo helpful and well, I'm just money conscientious, so I love to hear about budgets and such. Love it! Definitely let us know if you get it! I'll make sure to watch. ;o)

First of all I say Go For It! It sounds like a blast if you don't take the show too seriously if they do edit it for the worst.

@MrsLouboutin--Holy crap that is sooo awesome!! I love that show! You have to post a clip or link when it airs!!

@DerbyBride- thanks!  I'm on the world cup edition where they changed the big red balls into soccer balls, which means it with either air the week the world cup starts or the week it ends (which would coincide with my wedding!!)

all i can tell you if you are going to act normal. they are not going to pic you. they only pic fun, wild, interesting people for reality shows..it makes for good tv. there has to be some drama. you have to stand out from the rest.
