Tell your photographer how you feel! they will most likly offer another shoot, or discounted wedding/another engagement shoot. I didnt like what my photographer did for us first time around, and i was honest with her. She did another shoot free of charge, and I couldnt be more happy with our photos. Photographers arent mind readers, and your paying them…i say fight for what you want!

@LivingInPink99: So sorry about this stress. 🙁 Can you post a few more? From these two images I don’t get the feeling that you have hired an experienced professional (even if they claim to be!) A reshoot won’t do a ton of good if the photographer is the problem.

@LivingInPink99:  I hate to agree with you. You look like a beautiful woman (and couple) and this photographer isnt doing you any good. You cant ask for a second shoot with your wedding so I would drop this photographer for sure…but thats just me.

i love the Sox baseball theme! I agree with others that you should tell the photog that you aren’t happy

I wouldn’t even try getting another shot. Because you can’t redo your wedding if the photographer messes that up. You shouldn’t have to worry if you’ll get good pictures or not. I say find someone else.

I just had this exact same issue.  The ladies on here were really helpful in making me realize that- even if we have a re-do shoot, and even if they edit the pictures a bit more – you absolutely cannot re-do the wedding day.  I know I’d be paranoid on the day of about whether or not my pictures were coming out ok, which is not where I’d like my focus to be.

I explained my issue to out photographer, and, at first she seemed helpful (offering to edit some images for me), but then sent another email back saying “well your pale skin in contrast with your fiance’s doesnt help anything.” and, “for your wedding you should get a tan and not wear a strapless dress”. That was tough to swallow.  Just a word of caution that even though they say they’re professionals, they don’t always act that way!

Good luck!

Edit: I LOVE the baseball theme!! At least you’ve got that cute picture out of it 🙂

@jasonkatie2014:  OH my gosh. WHAT? That is some ugly, unprofessional behavior. I’m so sorry, but at least they showed their true colors before the wedding day! I hope you can find someone new.

You too OP!

Yeah…those are pretty bad. Harsh lighting, bad editing, the works. Good luck finding another photog! I’m sure you can find a good one with a $3k budget!!

@LivingInPink99:  I hate to agree with prior posters, but I think you can find a better photographer. The first pic honestly is very close to a candid – you kind of want your e-pics to not just be any candid pic but way better quality and “special”… And this photog is not doing that.

I’m so sorry you had a bad experience OP, like pp’s have suggested I would find another photographer. Please get the new photographer to do test shots so you know you are 100% happy with them.
