After weeks of agonizing over the price of plane tickets, I used the “Name Your Own Price” thing on Priceline, and was able to get an affordable one!
Originally the tickets were $511.00, and I saved $188.70 by bidding $322.30. It was a long-shot, and I knew it, but they accepted it! Thank GOD. I was getting really upset that I wouldn’t be able to go see R!
I’m trying so hard not to get my hopes up, but this is 1 of 2 trips this summer, and he’s supposed to propose on one of them!
I haven’t mentioned proposals on my own since April 14th! So it’s been over a month! We did talk about getting married briefly when he was here a few weeks ago, but I’ve faithfully kept my mouth shut.
If he doesn’t propose this trip, I at least I know we’ll talk about it some. Will I be disappointed? Yes, I think so. But if it doesn’t happen this time, it’ll happen in August. At least I’ll get a 9-day vacation before summer classes start up. Work’s been running me ragged.
Like I said, trying not to get my hopes up…
…but dammit, it’s really hard.
*That’s what she said.*

Torrid!!! You have a 50% of engaged this next week! It’s either this trip or he next one, right? 😀
So, even if it doesn’t happen this time, it will really narrow it down for you! lol
I hope you have a wonderful time with your man.
BTW, you’ve done really great on keeping cool for the past month. Has it been a month?! :O
Wow time flies when you are having fun! (ok, not really fun, but busy as hell)

@Tunacupcakes: Busy doesn’t even begin to describe it. I’m running ragged, really.
It’s been agonizing keeping quiet, but I hope it’s worth it.
I found out today that one of my friends I acted with at the University of Arkansas died.
It’s be really nice if I could get a fucking proposal. Tired of things seeming to go wrong.

@Torrid: Oh it’s worth it. 🙂 I have no experience with this, but I trust the other ladies on here who said the crazy just sort of melted away once they got their proposal.
I’m very very sorry to hear about your friend. I really hope it was nothing too horrible. 🙁
And I know what you mean about wanting a proposal to have something go right. I’ve often wished for a proposal just because everything else in life sucked so badly, it would have been some emotional relief to have something so wonderful happen. I’ve often thought “I NEED this.I need this one happy thing to work. I can’t wait anymore!”
