Hi bees…this a rant more than anything
I bought my wedding dress last September. It was my first time dress shopping so I wasn’t aware you got measured and all that stuff. I tried on a sample size 10. Without measuring me the girl at the store orders me an 8. Now the sample I tried on fit okay but was a little snug. I asked the girl about this and she assured me the dress would fit. She told me the dress would be in the shop in 3 months. 3 months later I’ve heard nothing. I call ..no answer..I leave a message. I still hear nothing so I call again and e-mail them. Still no response. 5 months go by and still no word. All this time I’m worried the dress isn’t going fit. So I went out and got a back up dress. When I got my back up dress they measured me and everything. Turns out I’m not an 8, but a 12! Well I finally just go down to the first shop and find out what’s up. The owner is there and is like oh your dress is here! So I try it on and surprise…dosnt fit…by a mile. I barely squeezed into it and the whole back won’t even come close to closing. I tell the shop owner I was never measured and this dress is useless to me now and I want my money back. She becomes a super bitch, tells me no refund, and she will make it fit! I don’t see even the best seamstress making that dress fit on me…it’s 4 sizes too small! I leave the dress there and am now disputing the charge with my credit card company.
I understand store policy about no refund and such…but when the stores own employee screws up as bad as she did, I think they should make an exception. Now I’m out a chunk of money with a dress I can’t wear. I cannot even believe this women owns a business. She’s a crook and dosnt care if she ruins a brides wedding day. Thank god I bought a back up dress or I’d be walking down the isle in sweat pants lol.
