At my mom’s house, in my Nanny’s closet. Somewhere he would NEVER look. Lol.

I did it for similar reasons to what you said. I know I would try it on all the time, probably mess it up (I have two dogs), he would look at it/see it, our closet is pretty small and we live together. Lol.

The dress shop is holding my dress until the week before the wedding – that’s standard practice for them.  I never thought of having to take it home.  Is that an option for you?

My dress came in early… I put it in the closet and told my now husband not to look at it… as simple as that lol

EDIT: I recommend asking for the cotton bag, wrapping it in a white sheet and keeping the baf open and little. It will keep it from getting dust on it and turning yellow. Wash the sheet with fragrance free detergant

Ask them to hold it for you or take it to a family member’s home~

It’s really easy to keep it. Like I said in my PP just ask for the cotten bag. You can put it anywhere because once you put it in the white sheet it will be too much of a project for your Fiance to even think about looking lol

This is a great post. My dress came about 3 weeks ago and our wedding is 10 months away. My Fiance and I live together. I just keep the dress in the cotton garment bag and I asked him not to look. I know this is crazy but I also pinned (with a safefty pin) the top zipper to the bag. So far so good. I did take it to my tailor (today) and have him work on the neckline but asked him to pretty much take his time (lol).

can’t the salon hold the dress for you? They can take good care of your dress!
