Ok, so I said I wasn’t gonna show any pictures or think about the dress while I’m waiting for it to be available (not for another 6 months), but I caved and googled the dress, and I found it! Now, for half of my life I was very boyish (only girl), but now verrrry girly so I thought the sweetheart beaded fitted bodice with the ragged looking tulle sums me up. And although it is a ballgown, it fits my personality (and I though I looked good in it too despite being a tiny person), because it’s not your traditional wedding dress (lace, mermaid) that a lot of people have been pushing me to get. Without any further ado, here she is!
And I can’t wait to have this picture with me in the dress:
Now, how do I accessorize this dress? Simple, thin necklace? Simple elbow veil? Hair up/down/half with sparkly stuff on my hair at the back? A la Christine Daae from “Think of Me” from the Phantom of the opera?
@Shlieka: Ooh I was thinking of doing the whole sideswept curly hair thing! I’m growing out my bangs, but maybe I’ll keep them short enough to just be sideswept as well. Do hair people usually charge for trials??
@Mrs. Gremmlin: Thank you! I -felt- stunning in it, and I hope to stun my guy on the day of! 😀 Back story to that: We actually went dress shopping together and he was gonna buy me the VW351101 (White from Vera Wang at David’s) right then and there, so I didn’t care originally that he’s seen me in “the” dress. I’m so glad he won’t be seeing me until the doors open to the sanctuary!
@sarahbabs: Oh so that’s what it’s called? Basque waist? -_- Haha I loved my tear moment…but then again I’m too dramatic and probably hormonal.
I just hope I won’t have dress regret…eek! I hate being fickle!
Hair people usually do charge for hair trials, I’ve heard that you can negotiate the price of the trial down with them. You could also try the hairstyle out on your own/with a friend. There are a lot of videos on youtube that teach you how to do different hairstyles. You don’t have to keep your bangs short, you could curl them too =)
