Do you have any pics? That’d make this thread a lot more interesting 🙂

Nimmle02:  I know Verragio carries something similar, not as heavy on the milgrain as the Tacori setting however. It also has the graduated stones like the Tacori.

It’s pretty similar to my ring and it retails for about 3K. I’m not too sure how much the Tacori is but Verragio is generally less expensive than Tacori. Also, since you mentioned there is a thin girdle on the stone, the double prongs would be more secure than the single prong Tacori. Beautiful stone! Congratulations!

The website doesn’t come up properly for me on my work computer, but I believe Gabriel & Co may have a similar setting.

Nimmle02:  I would definitely have it custom made. Paying retail for a setting like that is more than you need to spend, and you could customize it, If you’d like. I would get a quote from Schubach and David Klass (dkinla1@aol.com). David Klass is great. He does all the CADs (computer animated drawings) and work for no charge until you approve the final product.

Yay! So much fun!

I’d recommend heading over to pricescope. They can work wonders with budgets, since you already have the stone it’ll be a little easier too. NYC is ripe with options too.

Nimmle02:  Typically going custom is actually cheaper. A lot of people get custom pieces for the specific reason of getting a certain look and not having to pay retail.

His website is davidklassjewelry.com but it’s currently under construction. He seems to get most or all of his business from word of mouth (I have seen so many people recommend him) and repeat customers. The easiest thing to do is just email him and ask for a quote. dkinla1@aol.com He also has a store in LA that has great reviews.

Nimmle02:  Hot damn! That is an incredibly beautiful stone even aside from it’s size.

I second going custom- It really can be cheaper because you can do a designer looking piece without paying their prices, and as a bonus you get exactly what you want. Fits a straight band? Low set, high set, whatever!

Mine is custom and I was actually shocked with how cheap it ended up being! My SO even said the other night while laying in bed “I thought it would be so much more since it was custom!” We are definitely happy and I think that might be your best option!
