I feel soo behind! I still haven't gotten my wedding dress. The wedding day is quickly approaching (ok, so in like, 300 days lol). Does everyone else here already have their dresses?

Well mine was set for May, but we just decided to push it to June and no, I haven't even tried any on yet. Still looking at pics, so I guess the move is a good thing.

Okay! That makes me feel better. I've tried on dresses a few different times with no real intentions of buying one any of those days that I hit up dress stores. I feel like I will never find "the one" though!

I bought mine just to get it out of the way, but I think you are fine.  Some dresses can take up to 6 months to come in, but most take a clot less.  If you get a dress by December, you should be good :)

I purchased mine two weeks after we were engaged...so about 13 months from our date! But I admit that was crazy early, I wasn't expecting to find the perfect dress so soon!  It only took three months for it to come in, although they told me it would be 6.  Don't worry about being behind, everyone has their own schedule, I would just give yourself at least 6 months just in case! :)

Not yet! I've been told it will take 4-6 months for whichever dress I order to come in so making a final decision at end of October.

I ordered my dress a little over a month ago and they told me it could take 6 to 8 months to arrive. Hopefully less but I've heard stories of dresses taking 9. I wanted to get my shopping out of the way plus I fell in love with the dress.

I'm also an early bird. I have everything booked except the florist at this point with 9+ months to go. I'm booking the florist next week after my last consultation.

    Good Luck!! :)

Your date is almost 2 months after mine and I was told by bridal shops that the latest date I need to order is at the beginning of December. You should be fine =)

I ordered mine in June. Started looking in January and really narrowed it down toward April/May. But I'm super-organized and prefer to have things tidied up ASAP...

Yep, I bought mine super early, about 16 months before the wedding.  No dress regret in sight though, which is awesome! hah (not that I could afford it if I did regret it!)

I'm getting anxious to get mine already. I've tried on tons of dresses and none of them have really stuck out in my mind (except one...but I blew it and showed my FI a picture of me in the dress and now I refuse to buy it lol). I hope that I get the "this is DEF the one" feeling with one of the dresses I'll be trying on in the near future! My MOH & I are going dress hunting on Tuesday and I plan on bringing my credit card just in case!

I bought my dress in July (11 months before my wedding).

I didn't have a "this is it" moment.  However, I tried on dresses from over 10 local stores and even looked at shops while visiting 3 other countries...  After all that I figured if I didn't have the "this is the one" moment, I'm not going to.  So, I just bought a budget sample dress that worked well enough.

After buying it I did have a little remorse, but I'm glad to have it done!  It feels good to cross things off the list.

Good luck finding what you want.  You can always buy a sample dress the day before your wedding if you really want to put it off!

I bought my dress last month. Well, I picked it out, it won't actually be here until February and then I'll have fittings and all that jazz.

Hi Date Twin! It's 288 days away and I bought my dress in June.  I would get on it..some bridal shops need 6 months and you want to have enough time so you don't rush the fittings.

I bought mine about a month ago. It was a discontinued style/sample size and I got an amazing deal. I didn't expect to have mine this early in the planning process but I am really glad it's one less thing to worry about. I also received my veil last week in the mail :)

Ordered mine nearly two weeks ago. Went to put it on again today just for the fun of it and whilst I was there the lady rang the designer company and it's due in end of January. Can't wait to see it.

I tried to get my wedding almost entirely planned (the big stuff) before we moved to NYC in August. And I just felt like, if I figured out the dress, everything else would fall into place. And it did! Everything about the colors, look, and feel of the event is related to the dress. It arrived in the store (in the old city where I lived, where the wedding is) about a month ago, so yeah - way early. But I'm glad it's there and out of the way!

I ordered my dress about a month and a half ago, and it's due to arrive mid-January. I just ordered my veil last weekend, and I won't get it until mid-March! I figured I'd give myself until Thanksgiving to get my dress picked out and ordered, but once I found it, I didn't feel like waiting to order it. Now I'm just impatiently waiting for it to arrive! :-)

I just ordered mine. It should be here in April there is not much altering that needs done. I have a local seamstress who is doing the alterations and she is super good and super fast. She is also making all the guys vests too. I knew it was the one when I tried it on but still tried on several others because I am so stubborn and it wasn't what I thought I wanted when I went shopping. But I gave in and I'm so happy I did. My Mom cried a little bit when I put the flower comb in my hair at the shop. So Cute!

Ha! I ordered mine at the end of November and was told that due to Chinese New Year I needed to put a rush on it to get it in time for June... it arrived two weeks later!  It's hanging beautifully at the salon and waiting for my fitting in May!

I didn't get mine until last week! Now I'm stressing it coming in time, estimated arrive date is June 3rd. That only gives me 22 days to get alterations done. (They're minor, so I'm hoping that's enough time.)
