Weddingbee boards

So it's official ladies! SO is now a FI! Wheee! Okay, so he just told me he's been wanting to do it all weekend, but things kept going wrong.

So let's rewind. Thursday  was a stressful day at work. We had a sudden downsize and I survived the cut. So Friday was equally as stressful and I just wanted to chill. Well the city had it's light up night and we were suppose to go, but he ended up working late and I watched the fireworks online. (he told me he was planning on doing it at the park while the fireworks were going off.)
Then on Saturday, he told me we should go to dinner before we went to go see Harry Potter. We went to Johnny Carino's and it was just a bad dinner exp. Our server was more concerned with getting out of there and getting to the bar and our food was just terrible. After the movie, we were both just so tired. (He told me today he was trying to get out of the house earlier so we could go downtown)

So today was the long awaited Steelers vs Raiders game. His entire family are Raiders fans and well me? I live in Pittsburgh. I was born a Steelers fan. If you didn't watch the game, it was a big disappointed for the Raider Nation. lol We came home and he got in bed. I climbed in with him and told him I was tired too and we should take a short nap. I still wanted to go downtown and see the lights. Well he got up at 6:30 and I stayed in bed until 8. I slept on my back wrong and he was telling me to get dressed so we could go see the Christmas tree. I said no, we could wait until next weekend and then he reminded me it would be crazy down there because of Black Friday. I said okay. So we drove down and walked around Market Sqaure and PPG. He kept digging in his pockets and accidently cut his hand when his switchblade popped open. We also ran into three couples who wanted their pictures taken by the Christmas tree. So he said he wanted to ride the incline to the top of Mt. Washington. We could see the Christmas tree at point state park from up there and he's always loved the view up there. I said me too! I go up there all the time to get skyline photos! So we drove over to the incline and then he said nevermind because there was a line of people waiting to go up, so we just drove up.

So we get up there and there are these lookout points. Just like big platforms you can get a good view from. So we are at one and these couples were just standing all around and he said we should go up to the next one because we could get a closer look at the Christmas tree. So we walked up to the first one. We are just standing there talking about all the buildings when these foreign tourists walk up and they are so loud! We took a photo of them and they asked up what the three rivers were. So he whispers that we should walk back down to the other one because nobody was there anymore. So we walked back down to the one we were at before.
He grabs my hand, starts kissing me on the cheek and forehead, keeps looking out over the city taking deep breaths, kissing me on the forehead some more, ect. I then said that we would have to go grocery shopping for Thanksgiving.
I have to cook this year because my mother usually hosts Thanksgiving, but she moved into a townhouse and just doesn't have the space anymore. So I said, "Cooking a turkey can't be that hard right?" and he goes, "no, just throw it in and cook it all day." then I said, "Okay....I promise I will try not to burn it. I can't believe I'm going to be cooking my first turkey!" and he goes, "That's okay..." kiss on the forehead. "Because you know what Miss Tattoo?" then he got down on one knee. "I hope this is just the first of many Thanksgiving turkies you will make. I promise that even if you burn them, I will still eat it with a smile. " then he pulls out the ring box and opens it and says, "Miss Tattoo...I think it's about that time. Will you be my wife?" and I said..." OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! WOW! WOW! OMG! IT'S SO PRETTY! OMG! OMG!!!" and I went to grab the box and he pulls it away and says it again, "Miss Tattoo...will you marry me and be my wife?" and I said "YES!!!!!! OF COURSE!!!" and I cried...like really hard. My hands were shaking as he put on the ring and we kissed! A couple walked past and stopped to say congrats.

I almost walked into the street while I was starring at my hand. We drove to my mom's house and showed her. SHE KNEW! He went and talked to her Thursday. He told her that if my dad was still alive, he would be asking him and felt it was only right to go talk to her first.

So anyway! Pictures! I will post better ones later! We stopped at Sheetz for gas and coffee!

Thanks ladies! I have been on cloud 9 since it happened! I want to call off work tomorrow to celebrate, but that's probably not a good idea since we just downsized.

@dreamingofbling: I can't stop looking at it! It's dim in our living room right now and it is putting on a show! I can't wait for you to get your Asha! I feel like I don't want to leave the waiting boards! The support there has kept me and a lot of waiting bee's sane! Everytime I thought about bringing up the engagment, I would just come to the wedding bee to vent and offer support to other frustrated waiting bees. I love you ladies so much! I will take photos with my better camera tomorrow!

@CaraMia10: lol he's been getting crap all day from everyone! He did have his Raider's hat on when he proposed! Thank you so much! I'm sitll going to be hanging around the waiting boards! I want to see everyone crossed off the list!

Thanks everyone! I did not sleep one wink last night! Sorry for the typos and spelling mistakes! I typed this last night with shaking hands and was a little tipsy from the wine. lol TURKIES? REALLY TATTOO?

TURKEYS. Ugh. lol
