Commenting to follow.  I didn’t fill out the survey since my LO is already here (and will be 7 months old tomorrow – YIKES!!!!!)

But, I did come up with an alternate one for those of us who have already had our little miracles.  Hope that’s ok!

Work Situation or planned work situation:

Here’s mine:

Age/Birthday:  7 months tomorrow – March 23, 21013

Boy or Girl and Name (if you’re comfortable sharing): Sweet little dude – Holt Fairfield II

Work Situation or planned work situation: work outside of the home.  Went back at 6 weeks and it sucked.

Greatest moment so far: Pretty much all of them.  But lately it’s hearing him babble mama and when he turns into me when someone else tries to hold him.

Milestones: Oh man, these have been coming fast and furious these days.  He’s cut his two bottom teeth, is crawling, and can pull up to standing.

Most surprising thing/best thing about being a momma: It donned on me last night – I am the person he loves most in the whole world.  It’s very heavy but also so so amazing.

How’s everything else – work/home/hubby:  Things are good.  The hubs travels quite a bit for work, which is hard.  I miss both my husband and also my parenting partner.  But, we make it work.  When he is home, he helps so much with the babe and is very hands on.  I fall more and more in love with him watching him be a dad to our son.

Also, since he’s so adorable, he’s a picture.  It’s about 2 weeks old, but it’s one of my favorites to date.

Hi!

Roll  Call:

How far along are you/EDD: 10 w 2 d!

Boy/Girl/Team Green/Too early to tell: too early. but, we’ll probably give in. just cause I really, really love decorating and it’s SO hard to find TRULY gender-neutral stuff. i really want to decorate the room in my 2cd tri (even though I know we won’t really use it for a good long while!) because friends all say that’s when you have energy. after the birth I’m sure I’ll be busy with baby and work!

How are you feeling?: Good. . .was worried about my decreasing nausea (almost none in past few days) but apparently some people just get over it early. . . just had a  scan which was very reassuring esp since I’ve been feeling so well!

Most exciting moment so far: Ultrasound! wasn’t going to get one this early but when they couldn’t hear the HB on doppler at 10 weeks, combined with the fact that I’ve had a ton of spotting/some blood throughout the pregnancy, they recommended we go for it. I’m so glad we did! so amazing to see little one moving!!

Strangest symptom so far: hm.. .i don’t know anything too strange yet, i’m sure it will come! oh yeah. . something strange is that I feel like I am starting to ‘show’ a little! it’s very weird; I assumed I would be one of those ladies who doesn’t show a bit till almost the end of 2cd tri. .. but I am definitely having some pudge vs baby bump going on in the lower belly region. at 10 weeks!

How long did it take to ‘sink in’? it’s still sinking. of course I’m still just 10 weeks, hoping for at least another 27 to go with baby inside!

And how is all the other stuff going – hubby, home, work? Work is tough, and already trying to figure out how I am going to reduce hours after the baby. I am my own boss, so that’s great- but I also have an obligation to the people I serve. it’s complicated!

As for the husband, he is wonderful and is wonderfully patient with me, 90% of the time.

My house is a disaster area not fit to be inhabited by living beings.

so excited for @hamikay -can’t believe Penelope’s here!

@Candy_Nee:  SUCH a cute pic.

How far along are you/EDD: 15w3d

Boy/Girl/Team Green/Too early to tell: GIRL! 🙂

How are you feeling?: Eh. I think I might be one of those that has morning sickness the whole time.

Most exciting moment so far: Finding out girl!

Strangest symptom so far: Nothing weird. Tacos have become my go to food though because they are one f he few things hat haven’t made me sick.

How long did it take to ‘sink in’? It still hasn’t. Haha. We picked a name, engraved a blanket, a friend gave us a new carseat and I spent half the day cleaning it, and still it’s hard to believe!

And how is all the other stuff going – hubby, home, work? good good. House cleaning is on an as needed basis so it a bit messy eh just gotta roll with it. DH has been amazing And we are trying to buy a house. The gov shutdown stalled that since we are doing FHA but hopefully it’s full speed ahead now!

Strangest symptom so far: Not strange, painful… Acid Reflux!

How long did it take to ‘sink in’?

Hubs is doing great. We just moved into our new home. We are renting our old home out and couldn’t be happier! Hoping to paint the nursery this weekend 🙂

@ScottishMrs:  thank you for continuing the Thread!

@Candy_Nee:  I cant believe all the amazing things your little one is accomplishing!! He is one adorable little man 🙂

How far along are you/EDD: 10wks. May 18, 2014

Boy/Girl/Team Green/Too early to tell: too early to tell, but DH and I finally decided to find out, when possible, and will tell family at our Gender Reveal Shower….the surprise will be for our guests, of course!

How are you feeling?: I bit better now, I had horrible heartburn pain since week 6 and MS was pretty bad as well, but now that is subsiding and feeling about 75% myself….if that makes sense?

Most exciting moment so far: hearing the hearbeat and seeing my stomach twitching (I dont know if the twitching means anything, but I and DH were very excited to see that).

Strangest symptom so far: I know this isnt “strange” but the hearburn issue, sure was for me.  I never had it in my life, so it sure was shocking to feel that UGH!

How long did it take to ‘sink in’? I am not sure if it truly sank in all the way yet.  I sometimes still cant believe I have a little one growing inside me and I still cant believe I am going to be someone’s mother eek!!

And how is all the other stuff going – hubby, home,  work? DH is super excited, he has a ticker in his phone or I should say an APP that tells him at what stage we are and what to expect.  Its just too cute!…..Home, isnt as tidy as it used to be before I got pregnant, my energy hasnt been the greatest, so I do what I can and so does DH, however, my parents have been wonderful and they have been coming to our house every two weeks to help clean…..Work, is there, always there, always busy and me just trying to get the energy to keep up. They do know I am expecting, so they also have been great and very understanding, but I sure dont want to take advantage of that.

Roll  Call:

How far along are you/EDD: 24 weeks today EDD: Feb 11, 2014

Boy/Girl/Team Green/Too early to tell:  Boy!

How are you feeling?: Pretty good, I get tired easily but  otherwise I’m great.

Most exciting moment so far: Finding out it’s a boy.  I get excited at every milestone (US, movement, etc.), but that was probably the biggest

Strangest symptom so far: Nothing strange for  me, it’s been super easy so far

How long did it take to ‘sink in’? I don’t know exactly, but it was pretty real for me from the moment I saw those two lines

And how is all the other stuff going – hubby, home, work?  Hubby is great, he is sooooo supportive and good to me.  He always has been, so I shouldn’t be surprised, but it is really nice how he is always happy to make dinner or take care of chores so I can have a nap.  Work has been stressful and busy, but I was able to hire a new person, so once she is trained, things should settle down a bit.

I had been thinking of filling this out on the old thread, but I knew it was near the end of its life and if I posted I would have surely killed it LOL!

How far along are you/EDD: 7w2d … by my count our first appointment is next Monday

Boy/Girl/Team Green/Too early to tell: too early… DH & I use to be team green, but now we both want to know…

How are you feeling?: Nausea comes and goes… carbs help… havent thrown up but once… still waiting for the horrible-cant hide it-lose 100 pounds-throw up nausea, but so far i have been lucky mine hasnt gotten too far out of control… I am pretty tired too – mentally I am spent! I have a test this Saturday and I am pretty sure I am going to fail… cant focus 🙁

Most exciting moment so far: Going to our fancy fertility clinic for our first appointment and telling the doctor that i got a BFP test that morning… We’d been trying so long we were planning on getting help – guess we didnt need it after all…

Strangest symptom so far: I might be crazy, but I think my workouts are easier on me now… honestly, my heart rate normally gets up to 173 during my typical workout… lately i have been able to complete the same workout, burning the same number of total calories, while keeping my heart rate at 163 or LOWER… is this a real thing? Its SO WEIRD!!

How long did it take to ‘sink in’? Took about an hour long shower while crying for me to finally accept it… DH came home maybe 30 minutes later (he works nights) and he wouldnt believe it until our clinic ran blood tests…

And how is all the other stuff going – hubby, home,  work? Well, like I said I cannot focus… my work load is pretty light right now – most people are out of the office so it hasnt been too bad, but I dread the day it picks up… We sold our house in June so that we would move to Califoria (from UT) next January… But now I guess we will stay until June/July/August unless I can find a company willing to take on a pregnant woman… I wont be protected by FMLA if we move so they’ll have to be pretty accomodating… this was NOT the plan 🙁 but we couldnt be happier to be so blessed…

hi all – thanks for the congrats on the other thread and sorry I haven’t replied – life is busy in the first few weeks with a newborn!! Good work staying the new thread, Scottish, and great idea adding new questions candy (7 months – what??!). Nice to see some new additions to the group as well 🙂

Age/Birthday: 26th Sept – 4 weeks tomorrow!

Boy or Girl and Name (if you’re comfortable sharing): Penelope

Work Situation or planned work situation: 12 months leave – a mix of work maternity leave, paid parental leave from govt, and long service leave.

Greatest moment so far:  meeting her was pretty amazing!! But a bit fuzzy because I was still coming out of anesthesia. Probably watching sweet interactions with her and hubby are my favorite moments so far 🙂

Milestones: hmm – none yet, but can’t WAIT for smiles to start in next week or two!

Most surprising thing/best thing about being a momma:  having a baby to cuddle that is just all yours! These first few weeks are hard, while we run around doing everything for her, my nipples are all chewed up, we’re exhausted, and there still isn’t much in the way of recognition that we even exist – but we see her become more and more aware each day and we know that the fun is really about to start!! I hope that doesn’t sound ungrateful – we SO are!!

How’s everything else – work/home/hubby:  home is a happy mess, and I don’t care 🙂 hubby is amazing – he’s back at work this week but so sad to be missing out, he’s taken such good care of us these past few weeks. I didn’t know I could love him more, but I do!!

Won’t be sharing photos on here, but if you’d like to see the gorgeous Penelope (not at all biased!) feel free to pm me your Facebook details.

Glad to see this thread back alive and even more excited to see some new faces! Congratulations!!!!!

How far along are you/EDD: 31 weeks / Dec 20, 2013

Boy/Girl/Team Green/Too early to tell: Team green!

How are you feeling?: Great. and I’m very thankful for that. I have been blessed with an easy pregnancy and still have a lot of energy. That said, my OB wants to me to start cutting back on my 3-4  1.5 hour walks that I’m still doing each week.

Most exciting moment so far: seeing the sparkle in DH’s eyes whenever he feels the baby move or kick around! it’s priceless!!!!

Strangest symptom so far: all the dark hair that suddenly appeared on my belly. Not sexy…

How long did it take to ‘sink in’? I started to feel real one I started showing and strangers commented on my belly. That was around 13 weeks.

And how is all the other stuff going – hubby, home, work? DH and I really enjoy the changes that this pregnancy brings along. But we also make a point to soak up those last weeks where it’s only us. I have been off work since May which was another great blessing. so no stress there.

We will finally set up the nursery in a couple weeks and we are both really excited for that.

And finally a current belly shot:

Roll Call:

How far along are you/EDD: I am 17 weeks on Wednesday, due April 2nd

Boy/Girl/Team Green/Too early to tell: It’s a GIRL!!!

How are you feeling?: Dealing with gallstones, still exhausted, starting to nest, really excited to meet my daughter Cora.

Most exciting moment so far: Finding out we are having a daughter!! Also, feeling her move a little bit now <3

Strangest symptom so far: The itching, or the really crazy dreams.

How long did it take to ‘sink in’? It still takes me aback sometimes, like WOAH I’m pregnant and there’s a GIRL in there, then I generally cry.. haha.

And how is all the other stuff going – hubby, home, work? Boyfriend is stressed because of some stuff going on at work, but other than that we are great and getting really excited to meet Cora. 😀

I’ll do the modified survey:

Age/Birthday: Born Aug 3, so the little one is almost three months now!

Boy or Girl and Name (if you’re comfortable sharing): Girl – Natalie

Work Situation or planned work situation: I’m in Canada so we get a year off work at 55% salary to split between parents as we see fit.  We’re making it work for me to take at least 9 months off and then maybe DH will take the last three.

Greatest moment so far: I think first social smiles still takes the cake.  I love seeing that little crooked grin.

Milestones: She’s growing like a weed.  She recently found her hands and tongue and loves sticking it out at everybody.  She has really good head control now which is nice to be able to trust her to not go all bobble head.

Most surprising thing/best thing about being a momma:  Just watching her grow and learn so fast.  It’s totally amazing how suddenly something will just click and it’s like a whole new baby than even a coupld days before.

How’s everything else – work/home/hubby: We’re doing well.  My house is a disaster because she only naps on somebody so it’s hard to get things done, and DH and I are still working out a bit of a new division of labour which is sometimes a little stressful, and since I spend way more time with her than he does it’s really hard not to always tell him what to do, and what she likes, but we’re working on it!
