A few weeks ago, I opened a box of pancake mix and after I poured some in a bowl, I saw these tiny, tiny bugs in them! It grossed me out SO much. I threw the box out right away and checked my other pancake mix. There was some in a tight bottle, and the bugs got in those too! It was sooo gross. Where do these nasty things come from! And how did they end up in a tight-lidded bottle?!
If they're super tiny, I have heard of them and I think I had one in a bag of flower once. In texas we call them Weevils (sp?)...
If they're weevils, I don't believe you have anything to worry about, they just get into kitcheny type things as far as I know.

Oh my gosh. So I boil a pot of water for dinner earlier and I dump in a box of rotini. When I set down the box, I noticed tons of these little brown bugs crawling all over the inside of the box! Totally disgusting! I dumped out the water and noodles and pulled out another unopened box of pasta, opened it, and it had bugs too! I freaked and starting inspecting the other pasta in the pantry. I found some more bugs in other things. I frantically started pulling things out only to realize that they had spread! SOOOOOOO SICK!!! I just threw out about $150 worth of food and spent 2 hours scrubbing out the pantry with lysol. I showered but I still have the heebie jeebies though! Has anyone else heard of these or had them? I am so grossed out and pissed that I had to throw out all that food! Ugh what a night.
