I think its important to have some sort of announced entrance so that all of your guests know that you are now at the reception.. you don't have to make a huge deal out of it though. The DJ can just say "please welcome Mr. and Mrs. Harmonyeee" and you 2 walk in holding hands.. people clap.. its over. Then mingle in with the crowd =)
You know what people are not going to notice things like that if there is a constant flow from cocktail hour to dinner to dancing. It might be thought about as an after fact but, not at the moment. These are your memories though that you will be loosing! To be announced as Mr & Mrs for the first time and having those photos. I would take some time and give it a little more thought.
You know what...you guys are right! We've since discussed and decided to have an entrance and chose some pretty cool songs to enter to!
We definitely didn't want things to be too game show-y with the announcement, so we are not announcing the bridal party, and just doing a simple music change with a "For the first time as husband and wife..." We will be arriving during cocktail hour so it will be jazz, changed to a fun, upbeat song.

For some reason, I'm not really looking forward to the bridal party and bride/groom entrances. The thought of yet another spotlight is making me feel...shy. Is it absolutely necessary to have these grand entrances? Do people expect them or will they not even notice? Any ideas on alternatives?
